PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Trump administration has started talks with the Oregon governor’s office and indicated that it would begin to draw down the presence of federal agents sent to quell two months of chaotic protests in Portland if the state stepped up its own enforcement, a senior White House official said Tuesday.

So…whaattt? This was just a drive by? In Seattle they swarmed the streets, insisted they were ‘attacked’, did a mass arrest on Saturday night and then released them all late Monday with no charges after arraignment. On the arrest sheet over the weekend it read ‘ASSAULT, bail denied’ and then nada when the courts go involved…and then Federal troops ‘left the city’. What a clusterf*.
I just dashed in to catch a few minutes. Ended up staying through the whole hearing. It was worth watching Barr squirm. Not a good day for Barr or Trump. If I remember right, some Republicans showed up as well there.
Both sides claim victory, chests are beaten, “woohoos” are voiced, and then on to … more of this.

Looking at Barr, a few things become clear
(1) He cannot wait to become the equivalent of a Tsar, which will happen should Trump win.
(2) He is seething with rage beneath that mumbling exterior.
(3) He is sneering inside with the feeling that “I’m smarter than you”.
(4) He likes being abrasive.
(5) All are weaknesses just waiting for the right questioner with power behind the questions
Reporters are asking the judge to hold the Feds in contempt of court by attacking journalists.
Gosh, a white supremacist. I’m gobsmacked…
