The Trump administration abruptly changed its program for granting medical deferral requests to undocumented immigrants this month, sending letters to several families rejecting their requests.
Does it feel like anybody else like we’re spiraling/flailing into maximum cruelty in all directions at all times just because the dotard is panicked about the economy? Like the lashing out of a cornered, wounded animal?

Yes, but before, it seemed like targeted, considered cruelty. Now it’s Trump’s pea-brain shrieking at itself “YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!!” and the only thing he knows how to do, the only way he really understands how to wield the power of his office, is to cause suffering.
Not willing to give up burial plot grounds to immigrants or cremation costs.
When it comes to shit like this, I find myself wishing I’m wrong and there’s really a biblical type of God. Although my heathen ass would surely burn in hell, I’d have the pleasure of watching the Trump administration burn there also. Along with many self professed Christians I’ve known all my life.
This is no doubt targeted as well. How much you want to bet that white illegals suffering an illness aren’t getting their deferrals ripped out from under them?
This is specifically intended to send the message that we will make sure you die if you come here from Mexico or South America with an illness.

Moves like this keep everyone wondering if this is strategy or just plain lunacy? I guess we’ll decide for sure next November. The real tragedy, though, is that anyone would seriously consider actions like these to be part of a coherent political strategy. In a sane world, this would immediately be considered to be nothing more than the political suicide of a raving lunatic.

See, people unfairly criticize Trump for being inconsistent, but that’s not true. He and his maladministration are consistently cruel, and consistently choose the cruelest alternative when they can.
At least in 2024 President Cotton will be a change of pace. Well, not really a change.
