Richard Shelby (R-AL) on financial reform: “Well, Richard and I spent a lot of time together over the last year and–working on this bill, and we’re getting there. We’re close; we’ve got some more work to do. We’re going to be meeting, I think, later today, in fact, to talk about it. We’re not there yet, but I would hope that, that we could the votes tomorrow on–when we have this motion to proceed to the bill to start the debate.”
