Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) submitted an entry Wednesday to the collection of Republicans weakly acknowledging that President-Elect Joe Biden has won the election, saying that it would be better for his transition process to begin like those past.
The “Trump Train” has been switched to a dead-end siding to allow the “Biden Express” to run through.
Senator Toomey is my senator. It is not my fault.
Toomey thinks that government is serious business. Trump sees it as reality tv, bad reality tv. Better script writers will probably write a screenplay about Trump’s Final Days, and it will be a farce or tragicomedy. With Kash Patel now installed at the Pentagon, Mr. Toomey needs to think more about how Shakespeare might approach the current situation rather than seeing his plight through the eyes of a calculating coward.
“It does appear as though Joe Biden is likely to be certified as the President-elect relatively soon,” Toomey said during a Washington Post live interview. “And so, I think it’d be better if we did begin a transition process that we’ve had in the past. My guess is that will probably begin relatively soon.”
It does appear that way, Pat. This is weak enough sauce but the cracks are starting to show. Great nations act great. They don’t indulge childish public tantrums or reality denial in their chief executives.
BTW, Toomey also said the voters have already picked the slate of electors and agreed with other prominent GOP figures in the state that that’s the end of it. They’re slamming the door in Trump’s face. It’s. Over.
The problem is the brakeman is insane and enabled. It will not end well for the enablers at all.

Given the changes at the Pentagon, there will undoubtedly be some Repubs who understand how much danger the country could find itself in if they allow Trump’s attempted coup to continue. Toomey may have proven himself a coward during his past 4 years in the Senate, but I doubt he wants to be complicit in the potential results of Trump’s current gutting of the DoD.

Yet another wholly unnecessary reminder “Toomey” IS NOT a euphemism for “courageous.”
If Republicans were not dishonest cowards, there would be a groundswell of GOP senators, representatives, governors, and others in elective office coming out strongly to affirm that Biden won the election.
Dipshit Toomey is also Senator Club for Growth and needs not run for reelection since he wrote the tax relief bill for the filthy rich.
He stayed in the Senate until he could fuck us.

I have never hoped more fervently that someone was right. Don’t think I am going to feel easier until I watch the inauguration though. Keep hoping thats just my PTSD paranoia acting up but Trump isnt normal and normal people dont do normal things.
Look! The ONLY way to prevent Trump from fulminating about this for the next 4 years is for him to be prosecuted in the State of NY for Bank Fraud, Insurance Fraud, Money Laundering, and Real Estate Fraud!
This also might just deter the “Next White Racist Republican Guy Up” from attempting to emulate King Trump in 2024. Also, Trump Tax Returns should be publicly displayed as exhibits to the above Criminal Prosecutions, thus closing THAT line of deceit.

He certainly isn’t. But at least anatomically and so forth he’s a human. He’s not a superhuman and he can’t do superhuman things. He’s not possessed of any supernatural powers. He’s sick and he does sick things, and they mostly don’t pan out.
