Tommy ‘110-Percent-Against-Racism’ Tuberville Still Doesn’t Think White Nationalists Are Racist

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) on Monday refused to walk back statements he recently made defining white nationalists as nothing more than your average patriotic “Americans.”

The Good Senator (snark!) is NOT the brightest bulb in the Senate’s box. Dumb and Racist (and woman hating), is just toxic for the nation. We can laugh, but we also need to work that he is NOT re-elected.

The DNC needs to start running commercials of this clown in any '24 competitive states. Minority leadership of the Senate probably won’t even denounce him.

He knows racism makes people uncomfortable, and he’s never been uncomfortable around white nationalists. Ergo - not racist.

ETA: He is uncomfortable talking to the press and Democrats, so racism.

Dumb, racist, and actively sabotaging the national security of the United States.

The USMC has no Commandant. Senior leadership roles across the armed forces cannot be filled because of this man. He is a national embarrassment.

In his defense, he is very very stupid.

Q: “Should we allow people who can’t tell their ass from a hole in the ground in the military?”
A: “I call those people Americans. You know, like me.”
Q: “Well, people who can tell their ass from a hole in the ground are also Americans.”
A: “That’s just identity politics, which is destroying this country.”

You cannot fix stupid! You can only call out stupidity, censure it, and/or vote it out!!

Tuberville’s mission is to divorce the terms “racist” and “White nationalist.” Kaitlan Collins did all she could to assist him in that effort by allowing him to say “That’s your opinion” without any evidence in rebuttal.

So by playing the role of “objective reporter,” she allows Tuberville to broadcast this poison to millions of people essentially unchallenged.

Ask him if a “black nationalist” is a racist, and should be allowed to serve in the US military. That should yield a more productive answer.

At least we know why he ran from Jeff Sessions and Doug Jones.

Did you watch the interview? She rebutted every time he said “that’s your opinion” and then gave the definition again and called him out on it. She repeated the definition of of white nationalist = racist, not just “white person”.

Senator Coach Tuberville seems to think that “nationalism” is synonymous with “patriotism.” Which suggests that he’s also perfectly fine with “white patriots,” which is obviously racist AF. He’s the one dividing the nation by race.

Can I just say that I am very tired of stupid people who insist on remaining stupid. They are running this country right now, and it is about time that we call them out for who they are, and get them the hell out of our government.
That goes double for the stupid people who vote for these morons just because they are Republican. That is one of the stupidest thing anyone can do.

He is certainly really stupid, but he knows exactly what he’s saying.

Not all racists are White Nationalists but all White Nationalists are racists.

Tuberville might be a White Nationalist but he is almost certainly racist; stupidity seems likely too,

I never meant to say that the Conservatives are generally stupid. I meant to say that stupid people are generally Conservative. ... There is so much dense, solid force in sheer stupidity, that any body of able men with that force pressing behind them may ensure victory in many a struggle, and many a victory the Conservative party has gained through that power.

It’s like arguing with the family members who won’t talk to you anymore.
