Maybe we can all learn from each other…for instance like how Covid exploded in South Korean churches and hospitals through clusters. More important, it is essential to understand that there are individuals who are super-spreaders…like Patient 31 who infected 1,1160 people.

Totally uncontrollable, the bigliest disease ever. Nobody could’ve predicted.

My daughter-in-law lives and works in Osaka, so my wife and I are tracking this closely. No option for her to come home even temporarily, because it would mean leaving the business she runs, and being computer based she can work with her staff remotely.

Anyway, I think Japan, like South Korea, is in a better position to clamp down on this than many other countries due to their culture. The Japanese are obsessive about cleanliness. Wearing masks has no social stigma, and they’re more likely to follow government mandates than in many other cultures. So we’re keeping our fingers crossed that they can keep it under control.

Florida governor DeSantis can’t. His state-wide order (which explicitly supercedes any local orders) excepts religious services from the stay-at-home rule and large group ban.
