Right. The ‘pause’ was just to make sure you have your stuff in place. Oh well. As per usual, the Democrats will bite their tongues and pretend to believe you so you will DO THE RIGHT THING.

Whiplash due to backlash. People getting sick and dying of a preventable illness is a bad look.

“The “mature-minor” doctrine, which states that teens 14 and older don’t necessarily need parental permission to be vaccinated, …”
Gee does that apply to the right to chose in other areas? Somehow I doubt it.

“And while it was never the intention of the department to target minors, and the department felt that we were educating, over the course of several conversations — not only in that committee hearing but afterwards — it became pretty apparent that the legislators felt that we were targeting children in those marketing materials.”

I am curious to know how those same legislators feel about Joe the Camel.

“Piercey said the politician who in large part led an outrage campaign against the health department over vaccine outreach to kids, State Sen. Kerry Roberts (R), was on board with that point, as was Gov. Bill Lee (R).”

Hey look – another Southerner named Lee waving the flag of surrender!

Or basically anything advertised on Saturday morning TV. Or Ronald McDonald. Or anything else aimed at kids in our culture.

Or Tennesseans will forget about all of this, because unlike Kay Ivey, ‘Governor Spaceman’ didn’t blame his voting base for this.

Austin-Travis County has moved back to Stage Four. Vaccinated recommended to wear masks in all public settings except when eating or drinking. Unvaccinated avoid public gatherings. None of it mandated, of course, but cases are increasing.

If death in a family doesn’t motivate vaccinations, what will? Limit how much insurance and public assistance to those who have made a conscious decision to refuse to vaccinated and end up in ICU? I can’t imagine we could ever go there, but if we are all at the mercy of those who irresponsibly put us all at risk, then what is the answer?

Hey don’t go confusing that guy with the real Spaceman. :grinning:

There is (apparently) still some misunderstanding about how the vaccine is administered…
