As the article points out there is no “status of forces” agreement and Israel opposes such an agreement.
Laws governing international contractors and military forces are usually outlined in “status of forces agreements” between countries, but there is no such document for Gaza. American contractors can be subject to US law for certain crimes even if they operate overseas.
“I would think any company would want a very clear legal framework,” said Doug Brooks, president emeritus of the International Stability Operations Association. “There are liability issues any serious American company would want to be clear about.”

A strike on the occupied bridge would be expected to injure people and damage the ship’s controls. I suspect this was one of the Sofa Pillow drones sent to show what they could do if they wanted. interestingly enough, we don’t know for sure who launched that weapon.

Bahrain has, traditionally, had two big ‘rivals’ in the region… nations with whom it’s had prolonged diplomatic and economic conflict. Now, I’m not saying this has happened, but if I’m Qatar, and I’ve got some cheap-ass drones off the black market… I might send them out low to loop around and fuck with Bahrain from the north… just to stir the pot a little.

I know a few musicians here in the Phoenix east valley area (Mesa-Tempe-Gilbert) who lost their insurance due to high premiums which they simply could no longer afford. Most are in that difficult range of 50 to 65 - old enough for serious health issues but too young for Medicare.

The financial side is brain-meltingly broken. I mean, it’s just simple math: If the plan is to pour well over a trillion dollars into this data center buildout for AI, then – stick with me, here – you need to get well over a trillion dollars in additional revenue as a result. Quite a bit more, actually, because getting a dollar back on a dollar investment is not exactly a great result.
Where are those dollars going to come from?
As I’ve said many times already, I’ve seen this movie before. In 1999, it seemed like every company that managed to get a dot-com domain registered and a website stood up was a candidate for investing, even if they had zero plan for, or path to, profitability ever.
It worked until it didn’t.

Don’t find it baffling at all. It is intended for those who have paid for a US passport through one of his (the government’s) pathways to citizenship programs, the Trump Gold Card Program (with corporate and platinum options) and the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. The Gold Card program has a DHS vetting process (shudder).
ETA: It’s almost as though, in his mind, the only people who are going to get passports going forward are master race applicants and white South Africans. His wildly successful mass deportations have taken care of the undesirables… in his mind.
