And the officers protested âwe are not racistââŚsure. Apparently that department conducts random reviews of body cam and other records to check out the performance of their officers and thatâs how this was found. Good policy. The Chief that canned them is Black ( I believe ) and on day 1 of the job.
But I think firmer language is needed to head up this bit. These guys were yakking about âwiping outâ and âslaughteringâ Black people and doing so under the cover of authority and with the impunity that gives them.
That one was easy. Now comes the hard part of re-creating the rest of the force.

Iâm horrifically amazed at the number of people at work who have shown their true colors since George Floyd was killed. Itâs like they feel emboldened.
In the last 2 months Police Unions have been told Fuck You by Chiefs all over the country. They still have a lot of power but their name is becoming synonymous with knowingly defending and maintaining bad cops. The videos of bad cops that have been circulated for the last few years donât just depict the last few years. They tell the truth about the past as well. They tell us about the DAâs and Judges that let cops walk. They tell us all about Police Unions and the code of blue that guides them. Lots of dead folks received no justice prior to the age of portable video. Even though everyone knew they were murdered.
The good news is theyâre identified. Iâd like to think this ends their careers in âlaw enforcementâ.

It is well-past-time for police officers to be licensed by states just like attorneys and physicians.
