So tRumps cabal has set a precedent for every Democrat who is subpoenaed in the phony republican hearing into the Obama administration as well as Ron Johnson’s phony investigation into Biden not to appear.

I believe Republicans in the Trump administration like to frame them and use them to decorate their bathrooms.
I also believe they like to try to collect complete sets, like one from each congressional committee.

Pelosi isn’t there to protect the constitution. She’s there to ‘protect the House Majority’. So, doing things that might make it difficult for purple seats to stay in power - is right out.
At least - that’s how it was explained to me here on this forum, when I was the “What the fuck is she waiting for? Why not put the assholes under house arrest?” guy back in 2019.

Be careful what you ask for. A Republican Congress would have no qualms about using something like automatic contempt charges to issue harassment subpoenas on every member of the Biden administration.

It was not explained to you correctly. It’s been shown time and again that Congress has little power to compel people to testify when the executive branch and Senate majority are corrupt.

Why not there are zero penalties for saying FU to Congress.
It’s that they lack the enforcement capability. They held Barr himself in contempt, and the case went to DOJ, who has purview over that… And like Barr was going to charge himself.
Our whole system needs an overhaul.
