This Year’s CPAC Attendees Believe, More Than Ever, That Trump Is A Savior

It’s a cat. It’s a box.

Like CPAC, but with more unrepentantly crazy shits.

“TPUSA has a radicalized worldview that they use as a litmus test” in backing candidates, said Kathy Petsas, a GOP district leader in Phoenix. “When it comes to the general elections that matter, their ROI is lousy.”

Notably, four top Arizona candidates in 2022 who were backed by TP Action lost to Democrats, including ex-Fox News anchor Kari Lake in her race for governor, and Mark Finchem in his bid to become secretary of state.

“Virtually every major race they touched they lost in the general election in Arizona,” the former Arizona congressman Matt Salmon said. “Everyone Trump endorses they get behind. It’s not clear if it’s the tail wagging the dog, or vice versa.”

OT but it’s Saturday. Anna Bower’s courtroom sketch from the Florida Federal court.

Back by popular demand: A consummately lifelike rendering of Judge Cannon’s courtroom during yesterday’s scheduling conference.

Perhaps he can sell Barron or Jr. Ivanka’s in play, and MBS might be interested, but he’d have to split the proceeds with Jared.

For argument’s sake, let’s say Trump’s real estate holdings are “worth” $1B, but given the accurate dont comment above, the actual equity available in his holdings may be $0.00.

Trump is shit out of luck and the chickens are coming home to roost.

Biden accepts that the presidency is about promoting the public interest, with an understanding that the government may not always get it right. I don’t think any of the founding fathers would take issue with that position. In contrast, Trump sees the presidency as a way to promote his own interests, those loyal to him, and really has little concern about what the government gets right. 800,000 excess covid deaths, for example, didn’t make him blink, nor did piling on massive debt, over $2 trillion a year from tax policy changes. It will be a very different US if he is reelected.

Just one more example of the fairly obvious, that many citizens of the Republic really should not have the right to vote. We should institute a test about six months before each election that has multiple choice questions on civics, history, and current events. a passing grade means you get to vote and with a failing grade, you don’t. Personally, I don’t care what your political views are, as long as you are an informed voter, which obviously excludes most Maggots. Sad!

“the program is informed by a conservative logic that largely boils down to God, family, tradition, law and order, defense and freedom.”

The Republican Party’s targets.

  • Turn religion into a government service
  • Recruit low-wage workers from families
  • Fake tradition
  • Promote activist judges and legislators
  • Advance big government world-wide
  • Freedom is determined by political power

As you say and, I believe it was yesterday - maybe Thursday - there was a story in WaPo that the value of downtown commercial properties has not recovered from the Covid hit. So, he may actually be upside down on mortgaged property.

So it’s a moronic cult? Good to know.

Do they REALLY believe Trump is their savior? Or just a useful tool (idiot) to take over the US? They are sick and dangerous either way.

Ultimately, CPAC conservatives believe Trump is their best bet to defeat the radical-left “desecrators” who seek to thwart him at every turn – including, as they constantly complained at CPAC, social media bans, “fake news” takedowns, rigged voting, bogus lawsuits, unfair justice, and lies about what they call the Jan. 6, 2021, “protest”.

Despite these hurdles, Trump battles on toward the Republican nomination for presidential candidate – the hero who CPAC conservatives view as the last and best hope to save the USA.

This makes me feel much better knowing that T rumpp’s the best they’ve got. Good triumphed over evil in the last election, and we’ll do it again, much easier this time.

Matt Schlapp often wonders “what Reagan would do?” That’s an easy one, Matt. He would sexually assault his young male aides. Good ol’ Uncle Ronnie!
