Yeah, hard disagree with this. Biden is the only politician ever to have defeated Trump.
Old cliches are cliches for a reason: you don’t change horses midstream. I’m not sure if he would have won or not but Biden was the better bet. Harris ran a good campaign and Democrats did an excellent job of coalescing to support her; so, there is no blame for Harris. Maybe if the Veep had been a white man it would have worked; but when the Dem donors and Schivv started attacking Joe, they knew the only fall-back candidate was Harris. Betting twice on a woman to beat Trump was stupid; it just energizes his misogynistic base while discouraging plenty of “liberal” voters.
Now, why am I engaging is such a divisive and counter-productive topic while the country is literally falling to fascist rule???!!!?? Thank you, Kate Riga, for trying to stand up the old circular firing squad.

Trump has made a bunch of really weird comments and I finally got the sense that he considers Vlad a true friend and someone who supported him in the hard times of RussiaRussiaRussia. Remember when he seriously suggested turning over American intelligence to Vlad so he could do the investigation?
I am still in shock today and I am guessing a whole bunch of people woke up feeling the same way. And whoever gave Trump that “You don’t hold the cards” metaphor should be taken out and shot.
So I ask again - is it time to panic yet?

Haven’t been able to bring myself to watch the blowup in the Oval Office between Vance, Trump and Zelensky, for the same reasons I can’t watch his rallies and interviews and press conferences. One analysis I read points out that Vance poked Trump and got him to explode… and it was on. No doubt it was staged in some way. From what I can tell, it was never a good idea for Zelensky to sign over valuable mineral resources to the US in a non-deal that (a) didn’t bind Putin, who would have ignored it anyway, and (b) was accompanied by no meaningful security guarantees.
But also, it seems the Trump puppeteers have learned from the encounter with Newsom and no longer allow Trump to speak in public with foreign leaders who might stand up to him unless accompanied by handlers.
