I see reports of Republicans afraid to vote for impechemnt due to (valid, in my opinion) fear for their safety… Speak against the leader and you may be killed.
Reminds me of Saddam Husseins Baath Party purge in 1979. During a party conference he accused many of treason. The names were read, they were taken out of the building and executed (the gunshots could be heard in the room) .
Those that were left started clapping hoping they were not next.
