I would go further than just adding a new Democratic ask of rehiring workers. But that is me.
The ask of hiring back workers is analogous to getting the bodies back from terrorists. Very small ask really.

Abolishing the filibuster is the least of these, and a candidate who can’t even commit to getting rid of a fairly new, made-up obstacle to majority rule that overwhelmingly benefits Republicans is unfit for the job ahead.
What Ms. Riga is saying here is certainly true and is a slap at not just Janet Mills, but also Democratic establishment leaders who actively recruited her.
I don’t know how Graham Platner’s campaign is resonating up there in Maine, but he speaks to this old Democrat more than Mills does.

The administration has no respect for the separation of funds. They’re openly talking about using tariff revenue to pay the military and ICE, which leads me to believe that they’re looting any available accounts to reward “their people”. The Supreme Court will run out of funds sometime in the next week. We have no BLS data, and it will take quite some time before regular reports resume (if they ever do). Nobody knows how this shutdown will end, but however it does, the re-opening of government will do nothing to restore faith in its lawful operation. Demand Russ Vought’s ouster. Make all of them defend him. MAGA seems in lock step now, but they’re riven by petty jealousy and lust for power. His dignity wraithing might be a long time off, but it is inevitable.

If Democrats ever win a trifecta again, they’ll have to pass significant, by today’s standards, radical reform to ensure that no one else can rise in Trump’s image and so weaponize the federal government. That would include neutering the Supreme Court, making Washington D.C. a state, devising a new way to protect civil servants from at-will firing.
Sure, let’s protect federal workers if and when we have power, but let’s rid the government of the Nazis first. Fortunately, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find them, as these Nazis aren’t exactly rocket scientists.

On Wednesday, an X user shared images from a Zoom call with a staffer in the office of Rep. Dave Taylor (R-OH) that showed an American flag emblazoned with a swastika hanging behind him. Taylor and other GOP members later claimed the situation was part of a “ruse” where a group posed as conservatives and handed out altered “optical illusion” flags to multiple Republican offices.
And yet, other Republicans said “It was clearly visible, we threw it out when we got it.” Who to believe, who to believe.

I’m in Punta Gorda Belize, the village at the end of the road where time does not exist ! I have not heard of anything here tho it’s possible there might be something in Belize City or Belmopan which is the national capitol. And. I have only my bicycle to get anywhere. But my thoughts will all be there
