There Is an Information Blackout at Florida’s ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ Migrant Detention Camp

I just want to know where the money came from, and how will he replace it?

Meatball Ron wants to inherit the MAGA cult after Dear Leader Donald is gone, and corruption and cruelty is the way to nail it down.

As a legal matter, may be so. But. When I was in college a million years ago, Chem majors’ comp exercise was to identify the chemical compounds in whatever was handed them. It’s not hard (for some smart kids with good chem education) to break down what makes up whatever.

But then, what do I know about chemistry? Not far from zilch.

NYT has an essay on Trump’s economic illiteracy, and the damage it is doing. It’s the usual laundry list of Trump’s weird economic peeves, confusion and wrong. But what has happened to the US population generally? The blowback to upending of America’s liberal capitalism model that impressed de Tocqueville so much nearly 200 years ago should be white-hot fierce. Instead, the media treat Trump’s stupid tariff/waiver/industrial policy grift as an economic artifact. Maybe it’s just a TACO illusion, maybe it’s time to shake things up, maybe we are entering a New World Order? Or maybe, just maybe, it’s flimflam.

Flimflam it is! Can’t wait to hear from the smart people one of these days, those with compassion who can put a sentence together, get a crowd to follow. I’ll even listen to the elitist who were born on 3rd base (Sutton Place). Any sense of ‘righteousness’ gets drowned out. You think it would matter, especially to all the “good Christians” across America. Too old-fashioned, I guess. Both the big and petty lies keep coming like geese shitting on a golf course.

Add in all the deliberate confusion and here we are, wherever this is.

Never understood mixed drinks. This may be why. Ewww.

Prefer to know where it went and ‘cui bono’ (who benefits). Probably also what corners were cut.

It remains comical to read assertions a Republican somewhere has violated the law. The laws in Florida are whatever DeSantis says they are. Similarly, the laws of the United States are whatever Trump says they are. If something needs done, and laws are on the books prohibiting it getting done, well then the laws will be ignored. Thus they effectively don’t exist.

i sort of agree with that…too many FLORIDIANS have no idea wha AUSCHWITZ is/ was… Desantis and much of our local media is owned by out -side groups…so they say what they are told to say. and… DESANTIS, in true trumpy fashion, is going after the local elected people in Democrat counties;using an appointed ATTY GEN. to do it.,lol, our local elected people surprised him…said come on down.look at our books.

When my kids were in college, I insisted that they each take at least one economics course. Being economically illiterate ranks, in my mind, just below not being able to read or write.

its total FLIM FLAM… this is how TRUMPF has worked all his life…he doesn’t know any other way to do it…as it has always made money for him… i realize he probably does not make any actual policy, but the makes it known what he wants and gets it.i answers the question as to how he managed to bankrupt a casino.
