This article is part of TPM Cafe, TPM’s home for opinion and news analysis. The White House recently published a new “Media Offenders” page on its official, taxpayer-funded website with a list of reporters and independent media who have criticized President Trump or the administration. This website included progressive content creators that it refers to as “deranged…

This seems nothing so much like one of those Scientology Hate pages they create about their critics.

I visited their “Media Offenders” page, and it’s pretty cool. The White House is helpfully cataloguing numerous cases of media reporting on Trump’s lies, crimes, corruption, and incompetence — a handy reference guide, complete with summary descriptions and links. Thanks White House! This is a useful resource for anyone who has difficulty keeping up with the nonstop firehouse of Trump filth.

During the oathbreaking traitors first term, his motorcade drove by our office. We knew it was coming our way from all the black Suburbans and SDPD vehicles driving by all week.

My two bigger bosses were out alongside the street, with a bunch of other curious onlookers, grandly giving him the finger as he went by. I had to do work but I could see them, I was a little surprised at their boldness, but happy to see it. Now that would get them on his Enemies List. I’d want to spit on him. Getting on his list should be a prereq for running for office. I’d spit on all of his ass kissing soulless turd supporters.

Trump wants a war of attrition here at home. He will continue to punish his enemies by any means at hand, unleashing his DOJ or his rabid thugs in public performances of violence and abuse.

The link goes to Insta - is it only there? I’m not currently on it and don’t really want to be. Getting sick of all of the major social media sites - FB used to help me stay in touch with friend and family, but now it’s mostly commercial posts, and hard to find content i actually want!

OT Scum-sucking bastards on the board inserted a poison pill into the Kennedy Center bylaws to keep Putin’s Cock-holster’s name on the building.

BTW The judge denied its appeal anyway.

Turn about is fair play. The next administration can use the precedent to go after Fix Noise, Sinclair and the rest of the RW propagandists.

I’m reminded that the most avid consumers of the first official Catholic Index of Prohibited Books, first printed in 1559, were printers across Europe, who saw the list as a guide to guaranteed best-sellers because of their controversial content. Here, too, the White House is doing itself no favors by pointing out the media creators who most get under its skin – because that list is, in effect, a guide to where it feels weak in one way or another. Let’s not only stand up for Josh and all of the “offenders” on this list, and for their clear rights; let’s weaponize the very list, circulate it widely, to show just how weak, fearful, and conflicted the current regime is. As for their own media speakers, I cringe to see how their prose has rapidly conformed to the models of Dimitry Peskov in Russia, and before that Baghdad Bob, and a long list of lickspittle, arrogant liars whose names will always be anathema.

This is the kind of too-clever-by-half bullish*t that third-rate lawyers and shills try to pull. IANAL myself, but I rather imagine that “Bylaws”, by their very nature, cannot convey content that exceeds the authority of the body promulgating them. That’s why they’re called “by”-laws, only binding internally and establishing the internal procedures of the Board. If they board lacked the authority to change the center’s name, the equally lack the authority to impose that name change throughout the bylaws in any form whatsoever. Duh!

Fiona Hill doesn’t mince words about the changing global dynamic. At Finland’s Kultaranta discussion this year, she was clear that the post-WWII order is dead. Trump in this sense is more like Gorbachev, he marks the end of one system. The rise of the oligarchy as we saw under Putin wasn’t better for most people than under the USSR, but it did assure an arrogant concentration of power. Putin managed to disguise the change to some extent with the windfall oil profits of the 2000s, but since about 2011 that has not been possible. Hence, the shift to Imperial Russia nostalgia and menacing of former Soviet states.

On the stage of the Kultaranta discussions, Hill was asked whether Europe can trust the United States.Hill answered bluntly no. And she reminded that the next administration cannot necessarily be trusted either.

Wow - you were called out for defending public lands. Thank you!

Trump 1 gutted the BLM by moving the HQ from DC to Grand Junction. Just 41 of 328 staff whose jobs were transferred made the move. While some think GJ is a nice place to live, it lacks basic amenities like places your spouse can work.

Burgum and RFK Jr were in Grand Junction to promote outdoor activities earlier this week. From GJ Sentinel:

Burgum was asked about his previous advocacy for selling off two to three million acres of BLM and Forest Service land and how this contrasts with current efforts to expand public land access. He responded that, in America, “you can do two things at the same time”

Sure. Destroy and promote.
