The Weaponization Of DOJ Takes A Even More Sinister Turn

In the same vein, Martin trumpeted the Memorial Day pardon of a Virginia sheriff convicted of federal bribery charges who was set to report to jail today.

There is no political angle to this guy’s charges–it was just a case of straight-up bribery.

Sure, he’s a MAGAt, but that’s not what it was about. If you gave him a goodly amount of money, he’d give you a special gun permit and let you ride with deputies on patrol. That’s it. It was just about collecting money.

The sheriff is now widely reviled in Culpeper County. I doubt this pardon will play well.

But it may be a part of TSFF’s efforts to make bribery seem normal.

Victims??? What the hell is that guy smoking? Victims of what? Committing insurrection and being convicted in a court of law? The only “victims” of January 6 were the brave police officers and other law enforcement who had to protect our nation’s Capitol and more importantly, those inside the building. This is beyond sickening, this is utter bullshit.

Sorry for your loss, although glad to see he lived a long life - hopefully a very good one. My parents grew up during WWII as children in occupied Holland. They truly appreciated the sacrifice of so many to free Europe.

And if our infotainment media were on the stick, they’d have op eds and news stories up by dawn reporting and commenting on the latest atrocity, with headlines like

  • “Is The President Losing It?”
  • “This is ‘Presidential’? World leaders shake their heads”
  • “Trump Acting Crazy Again – Will No One Step In?”
  • “So Where’s Congress? 25th Amendment, Anyone?”

I have fantasies of seeing Ed Martin having a public court - or maybe a mob of people stripped of rights and property by this traitor - go all Everard Digby on him. Not pretty, but then again, he’s a sadist. Live by the sword and all that . . .

Anyone seen MTG around lately? Just asking.

The great insult of this whole debacle is just how fucking obviously stupid he is. Money is power, and his power means that he can believe anything he wants, because he’s a dumbass.

You don’t have to be smart to be mean. Lesson of the decade.

Trump smiles (?) during his Memorial Day speech at Arlington National Cemetery after thanking God for making him lose in 2020 (so he could be president during the World Cup in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028)
.

Most important of all, in addition we have the World Cup and we have the Olympics! Can you imagine? I missed that four years and now look what I have—I have everything. Amazing the way things work out. God did that. I believe that, too. God did it.

He is ordering local authorities?

That would be the officials of the California Interscholastic Federation? Since when does the President of the Untied States have the authoritay to order officers of a private, not-for-profit organization to do anything?

I don’t have the numbers, but I am willing to bet that at one point 70% of the American population thought that Negros should not play Major League Baseball.

There’s something about the very term “unitary executive” that has always creeped me out.

Something about focusing all of the power on a single entity, in the person of a single leader.

Especially as we see it being deployed now, right out of the gate, to suppress diversity, clamp down on immigration (white Afrikaners excepted), all in pursuit of a more homogeneous, unitary nation.

A unitary nation, a unitary government, a unitary leader … why does that sound so familiar?

Oh, right, that’s why.
