The Trump Campaign Is Losing The Fundraising War—And Many Supporters Have Already ‘Maxed Out’ | Talking Points Memo

As the President’s campaign struggles with a cash crunch following an incredibly expensive few months of campaigning, it’s also confronting a growing and related problem: More and more of its most dedicated donors have “maxed out” and are no longer eligible to give money.

I wish I could believe this, that it has cash problems, but it just seems too pat. Its followers and supporters dgaf about such niceties as “legal limits” and “maxing” out their “donations.” Yes, certainly there has been theft and “misappropriation” but its followers are fine with that, they expect it, enriching oneself at the expense of others is the natural order in their world. If it needs cash, cash will be forthcoming. It has done too much for its beneficiaries for them to stop supporting it now. This feels like a distraction.

So, 7 of 8 above-the-fold articles have Trump in the title, 1 has Falwell.

TPM, did y’all hear that Joe Biden, who I believe may be the Democratic nominee for President, gave a big speech today laying out his economic plans?

Others, the majority of them, were “redesignated to another election”

Trump’s pockets are running for which office?

Like they care or that this has stopped them now or in the past. Heck, this is EXACTLY what SuperPACs are designed for.

I understand the campaign has seen a surge of in-kind contributions in the form of meth.

$364 million to $210 million is a stomping. So on the two metrics Trump cares about, money and ratings, Biden is kicking Trump’s ass.

We were a hour and a half north of Harrisburg PA through the mountains, the other day.
Lots of Trump signs in front of kicked to shit houses.
Want to bet after they bought the tiny sign they had no more money to give?

here comes the part where suddenly the Fed election commission is full of “never trumpers” that rigged all the reports. after a through investigation by his own people, trump can collect 500 million legally for the next 2 months and can also contribute his personal funds, aka taxpayer grifted funds, to the cause.
what a mess this is going to be keeping track of the criminality of trump inc.
the crime list just grows and grows

That degree of spread is incredible, and a great sign of the level of enthusiasm to get trump out of office.

Absolute. Landslide.

While I hope this is true, it still doesn’t change the fact that we have to keep working until we’ve won and the White House has been fumigated. Something I know everyone here is well aware of.

Trump don’t care. He’ll just use whatever is around him…White House, National Parks…AF1. It’s his MO…never use your own money…pocket what you can, while you can…balk and delay any efforts to pay it back. That’s why no US Bank will do business with him anymore.
