Could somebody explain the reason MAGA is hostile to special education programs. Why does Trump hate education or is it he hates education for middle class and poor children?

There must be a deep seated reason why the states with the lowest achieving education systems are all Red states..

Yes, no matter who. Special Ed or regular school. In my early years (1954 when I started 1st grade) there were really decent public schools if memory serves. Good teachers and engaged kids. Today not so much.

I think hating education is a feature of the Republican party. When I was young in the 1950s and 60s I encountered any number of really engaged and intelligent teachers. They were paid living wages. Today there are still a lot of dedicated teachers but they are all struggling financially.

I think TFG wants anyone with special needs institutionalized, where he doesn’t have to see them.

If I had a special needs kid, this development would make me spitting mad. It’s hard enough to collect the resources needed for any child with special needs. Now they make it harder to deliver the education our system promises?!?!?!
