Am I remembering this correctly that Stefanik was suppose to become the US Ambassador to the UN? But DonOLD pulled more men out of Congress to be in agencies under his direction. Then someone realized that Stefanik couldn’t be place in an administrative job now because of how narrow the margin in House is between Rs and Ds. Beside with her not getting the Ambassador gig it left an opening for Waltz to be moved from Nat’l Security Advisor because, you know those Signal chats and stuff. But even if Waltz was already confirmed by the Senate, he will have to go through the process again.
Nothing is ever strait forward with DonOLD and his plans.
No way the retrofit gets done before he’s no longer president. Boeing should see to that.
The new democratic president can, either scittle the program, or insist on an extension putting it out enough years that trump never lives to see completion.
See, the thing is, it’s not just an ethical issue. What the NYT neglects, in their head and subhead, to say is that the whole transaction is grossly illegal, as David Frum points out.
