The Tip Of The Birthright Citizenship Iceberg Floats Towards The Supreme Court

Yes, but he apparently spends his time getting his a$$ kicked by competent fighters at the FBI training facility.

So one is a no-show and the other uses it as a training regimen for his non-existent MMA career.

I loved HCR’s remembrance of Sally (not Sarah) Bascom, later Mrs. A. I treasure the memories of my “altera mater,” Amy, my mother’s closest friend. And of quite a few other women who were like mothers to me, sometimes only briefly but at crucial moments in my life. I hope many commenters here read HCR’s post. Thank you for sharing!

Skipping over ‘For real?’ – Seriously?
Chuck Schumer is your political opponent. Why on Earth would he be doing your messaging?

I always tell my grandchildren I do NOT have a receding hairline but rather an advancing forehead as my brain grows to accommodate my ever-increasing intelligence.

IIRC, there is a value limit for gifts to Presidents or other officials. They can keep gifts of small value, but over the limit they have to pay the full amount of the assessed value to keep a gift. Which Trump ignores of course, because there is no enforcement mechanism in the relevant statutes and Congress can’t be bothered to do anything about it.

But the point of this exercise was that an institution that his taxes supports should not have this material available to anyone, for any reason.
Besides this is performative exercise and I hope the library holds him to account for the cost of replacing the materials he destroyed.

One thing I didn’t see mentioned (it’s been a few weeks) is that in the presidential election and in state-wide races (Senate, for example), you can flip small numbers of dem votes to repub in really red districts where those votes would never be checked or noticed.

So DonOLD’s definition of public service may be different than what most people think. Public service to DonOLD means, we the people must cater to his every whim.

I hope she does. She’ll lose, which won’t help advance her political career.

Leaving aside the purported ‘real estate empire,’ when did Donnie ever leave his life of luxury?
It’s not like he’s flying down to Florida every week to clean windshields for handouts on the off ramp.

The way the AI tech bros want to define it is probably something like “Delete IP protection for small time, independent creatives. But if you’re the size of the Disney corporation and you’re making political contributions to Republicans, then your IP is still protected.” Something like that.

They’re going to add a direct line to Moscow in that thing. No need for spyware when the intel is coming directly from the horse’s mouth.

Now that ICE and DHS have bragged about a prosecution and have been castigated and told they have no legal reason to do this, and their own bodycam evidence shows this, they will do it anyway because otherwise they lose face and the three Democratic congress people and Mayor are publicly defiant and unbowed. The fascists must act.

It doesn’t matter to them if they get slapped down in court. Who’s going hold them accountable? Who will be fired?

This will be a Republican shit show but we have very competent Dems on this committee -Raskin, Neguse, Balint, Lofgren, Lieu, Goldman, Crockett, McBath among others.

ETA
It is a deposition so I am not sure this will be public.
