The last 747 rolled off the Boeing assembly line in 2022. There are no new ones being made. IIRC, the two currently being prepped as the next AF1s were originally intended for another buyer and then diverted to the program. Those two may have very few flight hours, just for certification and refitting. I don’t know how many hours are on the Qatar one, but it has been flying for a while at least.
Every day feels like I am running naked through a tropical shitstorm and trying not to get any on me.
The only thing Trump is doing is proving how much easier it is to destroy than to build. Everything they are doing is illegal and when the dust settles the rich will have everything (I just read that TRump’s worth went from 2/12 billion to 5 billion since his inauguration) and the lawsuits will fill up the courts for decades. The ultra-rich in America have absolutely no fear of the law in America. Why should they? They own it. Say what you will, we are absolutely being raped right now so there is every reason to feel as bad as we feel and to be as angry as we are.
One of my daughters works for DOI in security. Started last week after having been transferred from NPS. Other security specialists from other DOI bureaus were transferred en masse at the same time. Nobody in DOI was prepared for this. Career staff in DOI are scratching their heads over what seems to be a whimsical HR decision.
My daughter lives from pay period to pay period wondering if she’s going to be RIFed.
Am Arab royal family gave us the 9/11 air terror attack. Now another Arab royal family wants to give the orange guy who hangs out on golf courses doing FSM knows what, a flying palace. A person would have to be like totally duh to fall for that one, so it’s just normal stuff going on here.
Mr. Lutnick, sir, the whole point of trump’s tariffs is to make money for the US government. Tariffs are TAXES! A 10% tax on incoming goods raises the cost on the consumer end because businesses must pass the cost on or die. A 145% tariff meant no business with China. Same for an 80% or 35% tariff.
Jebus this guy is dense.
That can be a difficulty with setting actionable limits on things. People can always walk right up to the line, and as long as they don’t cross, they don’t get detected. If it’s something simple, like a speed limit, if they don’t cross it, then there is no law broken. However, if it is something like what the banking industry calls “structured payments”, where anything over $10k has to be reported to the feds, people go right up to that limit but don’t exceed it in order to commit crimes. It is not correct to call the allegation of a crime non-falsifiable in this case just because the trigger for detection wasn’t hit. That should not be a get out of jail free card for financial criminals who know not to go over the 10k when committing financial crime. Financial crime detection provides a good analogy here. Our society counts and protects money with way more rigor than it does votes.
I don’t think it’s all that hard to guess what such an algorithm would be designed to do. An algorithm can merely operate an equation, encoded to feed in one dara set, and churn out another using a mathematic function. In this case, that function would have a form something like A-B = C, or A + B = D, depending on whether A is the raw vote tally for Trump or for Harris. It need be no more complicated than that. The dark magical entity which does that could be anyone with access to a computer where voting data is stored, transmitted, counted or tabulated. Election deniers in 2020, (who conveniently poisoned the well about election fraud, making everyone reluctant to touch the subject now), had full access to voting systems in several swing states. They were allowed to make copies of the software, and had 4 years to figure out how to exploit it. Many of those same people were running the 2024 elections. So no magical entity is required here.
What wasn’t expected was the pattern of data that should not have been seen with the demographics we had, or with any other demographic reality. Normal, raw voting data must show a gaussian distribution no matter who is winning. That was not seen here. What was seen was a pattern like those seen in Russian elections, where Putin wins handily every time. Those curves are obviously skewed.
The data they presented here was not cherry picked, either. That’s a pretty stiff allegation to make against anyone you have no reason to distrust (unlike trump and musk). Again, even with the SHIFT IN THE ELECTORATE, the data naturally resulting from that trend would have showed a normal bell shaped distribution. Iff it was not being manipulated in any way. The mathematics describing the data, the equation which fits that bell curve, would not be different just because one party is more or less popular this year. Demographics do not enter into it. It is not a model where new data gets fed in to change the very equation used in the model. This model is already complete, and the same equation is used no matter what the data set is. And if the data set is compromised, it shows up in the distribution.
How do you explain the fact that this year, for the first time ever, NO swing state counties flipped for the losing candidate?
Also, what is your innocent explanation of trump talking about Elon and voting machines in PA?
I was just reading about the gifts that Obama received, and most gifts are turned over to the National Archives or other agency.
Wasn’t there a news cycle frenzy way back over some country gifting a cat/dog to the child of a President? That is going seem really silly when a reporter drags this tidbit from the memory hole.
