Seriously she’s rumored by the wingnuts to have killed so many people that there are certainly people who believe it and don’t want to take a chance. She’s always had a bit of an edge to her. : )

My father would have just said they all need “a swift kick in the ass.”

Must be talking about Murkowski and Romney following Biden.

It scares the hell out of me that with this micro-focusing on the elections process, the party that spent the last 30 years taking over statehouses – so they can gerrymander at will and judges, judges, judges – is turning its attention to the last people on earth anyone ever thinks of on election night: the folks who work the polls, check you in, and hand you your ballot or walk you to the voting machine; your county elections supervisor who maintains and provides voter rolls to political campaigns and trains poll volunteers; your state elections supervisor.

Those people literally are the ones who count the ballots, as we saw in Georgia. And, at least in my experience at the local level, they have been trusted, professional people who deal with all comers in a non-partisan fashion. If today’s Radical Republicans start burrowing in on these offices, we’re in shit city.

I fully support a complete, comprehensive audit of the 2016 election.

OT: Wow. Biden calling out Republicans trying to take credit for the American Recovery Plan they voted against. “Some people have no shame” is a direct quote.

He’s raising the ante.

That’s my experience as well. They’re the type that make you proud of this country, because that’s a crucial area where we have a certain degree of efficiency and rectitude. We just have to fight the craziness and not let that rot happen. There’s too much at stake.

I’m tempted to say at least it keeps them busy instead of invading capitols, but there’s the unfortunate side effect of metastasizing the Big Lie.

Completely different context… .worth the watch …

Have you missed all of the steps taken to ensure that the most hurdles to registration and voting stack up against the younger working-class and college demographics that skew Democratic?

It’s not an accident. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to take a chunk of a weekday out to go vote during a specific window of time.

Up until last year, in my State, if you were an old retiree, you had all sorts of absentee and mail-in options. But the “regular” folks had to make time in their schedules. In an area where people can have multi-hour commutes, need to pick up the kids, etc., all the things that make it hard to get to the polls within that timeframe.

Guess they needed to take out anyone who survived this.

These coordinated attacks on elections and election officials are spreading like wildfire. Hell, they’ve even spread to San Luis Obispo, California, accompanied with a healthy dose of racism.

None of this nonsense is homegrown. It’s being orchestrated by forces that are well-funded and well-organized.

This is becoming the ultimate fulfillment of authoritarian wet dreams the world over, beginning with Putin, and, if continues to gain steam, it will surely destroy our country, if not the world.

Thanks Guardians Of Plutocrats.

ICYMI Krugman nailed it when he wrote “Cowardice, not craziness, is the reason government by the people may soon perish from the earth.”

No thanks. My morning started out with the sudden jolt of seeing the flag at half-staff in the transit center parking lot. Had plenty enough nausea for one day already.
