I do not believe it will come to that. A lot depends on the framing of the danger. If knuckleheads continue to talk and write like it’s a basketball game, it makes it that much more silly, stupid and, yes, dangerous.
McConnell should have been hounded with queries about this gambit to begin with.

Has the messaging about the GQP violating the Constitution been put in place yet? Has anyone done an endless loop of the reading of the 14th amendment to hang on the GQP once they do this?

I don’t see this as an unattractive option. The vast majority of the public doesn’t give a shit about procedure in congress. They just want shit to get done. Add these items to the reconciliation bill and use it as leverage against Manchin and Sinema to get the reconciliation bill passed. If the Parliamentarian objects, overrule them or FIRE THEM like the R’s did in George W. Bush’s first term.

Pelosi seems to be moving ahead as though there aren’t any problems. Perhaps she knows more than the rest of do about what’s really going to happen. Is it possible that we’re all just getting worked up because the press needs more drama to generate clicks? Nah!
