You could almost call it red meat for liberals.

There was no whining like a two-year-old. Very presidential. Biden’s a president I am inspired by, and proud of. I am grateful for Joe Biden. I haven’t been this happy with a president since Bill Clinton.

Sorry, but I just have to…

Whomever wrote Biden’s speech gets an A.

Whoever wrote this sentence gets an F.

(I love TPM, but I hate the fact that so much is written so sloppily… C’mon guys, this is junior high school grammar, FFS.)

[Biden’s speech] was essentially a laundry list of progressive ideas — but it didn’t feel like a laundry list because it included lots of morally uplifting transitions and personal connections

Unpossible.

Hopefully, the 40-year drought is over. The era of trying to shrink government to the point the democracy became vulnerable to private wealth and insurrectionist attacks by outlaw fascist paramilitaries has reached it’s ignominious end. Biden is proving himself to be the president we’ve desperately needed for a very long time to steer this country back on track.

“America can do anything if we work together.” - is NOT a cliché if it happens and the proposition is sincere.

Is Sheldon Adelson still haunting us? Is he one of the undead whose visions live on?

And TPM insists I purchase a subscription. I only come here for the comments.

…right-wing funders like Charles Koch, Sheldon Adelson, Bernard Marcus, Robert and Rebekah Mercer, and Geoff Palmer still dominate the party.

I think I see the problem.

Yeah well, so do I but I subscribe because I spend quite a bit of time in comments that wouldn’t exist but for TPM. I don’t come to a liberal political board for the grammar.

I also only come here for the comments – but I consider my (ad-free) subscription to be my “club dues”. Too many great folks here, I value the contact with them all.

But since I am basically only here for the comments, I don’t get my knickers in a twist that every “big story” isn’t covered in detail here. I get my news basically elsewhere, here is where I can vent and also where I get some incredible insights through the wonderful people who hang out here. Worth every cent.

But, I do hate poorly written stuff…usually don’t say much, but this was the first damned sentence in the article, so it made my teeth hurt.

L’acussatif! (Apologies to Emile Zola.)

I don’t either but I do expect that a reputable site like TPM at least proofread their articles before publishing. That’s just basic.

The story (The Quietly Transformational Biden Presidency) is one I have hoped for for many moons.

This is a very important moment in our history.

It is. It’s a transitional period like the period between the end of the Civil War and the turn of the 20th century. And it’s going to lead to better things, like that period of extreme political divide did.

Yes, it is good news and thank goodness it’s here now. There are many good stories here and lots of thoughtful commentary by the TPM staff and the other folks here. There are many good reasons to be here – my point is that I am not one of the “hey, TPM, why are you not covering this big story??” crew.

Yes, if you look at aspects of Biden’s foreign policy.
