The Bronze Age collapse’s cause is still mysterious. The only consensus I’ve seen among historians is that raids by the Sea People, whoever they were, played a role. There’s far more we don’t know than what we do, The net result is we don’t have a lot to go on to predict where things might be headed, now. Human history is short, dubiously-sourced, culturally biased, full of gaps, and intertwined with mythology. We might as well be asking the Oracle of Delphi.

Bothsiderism. Rightists are increasingly turning on others. To wit: 75% of the politically motivated murders in this country are committed by rightists. (ADL) This has been true for decades.

The extremists are cresting on the high fever of Trumpism which, to me, means high alert for us now to nov and beyond.
I guess the anti LGBQ + folk do not want any gays voting for republicans. They must have all the votes they want.

Not necessarily, but it’s definitely subjective. Depending upon on how you define “turning on,” you could reach your conclusion, or Jason’s. If the threshold for “turning on” someone else is violent action then your conclusion is correct and Jason’s is not. If it’s something less than that, then both of you are correct. You’re still on the same side, though.
I think it’s implied–the T stands for trans and the + is meant to include anyone left out by the acronym.
But you’re right: trans folks are coming in for a special brand of hate and attacks from the far right.

Let’s not disregard fear.
There is scientific evidence that the most virulently homophobic of men are rejecting some of their own feelings.
It is by no means clear or definitive, but we may have an opportunity to gather abundant data in this era. And perhaps a strategy to put the haters on their back foot. (Engendering substantive and sincere self-reflection may be too much to hope for, but it’s worth trying.)
