The bottom line is they have a make-believe case.
And, I would guess that is the point. Because if they can successfully target a high profile critic on total BS, they can, and will start targeting a broader swath of people in their hobby horse to deport a large part of the population.
First genocide a little, then genocide a lot.

One would assume that the attempts to denaturalize Omar and Mamdani are based on a desire by the administration to demonstrate its hostility to Muslims and especially Muslims who succeed in their election to high office. Gotta please the MAGA crowd as well as discourage both immigration and solidarity across ethnic and religious boundaries.
