Bogus allegations of election crimes redound to the advantage of the prosecution.
State election systems are built to create barriers to dumping tens/hundreds/thousands of fraudulent votes into the system.
How so? By connecting a vote or no vote to a legal registration. Many states use bar codes to assign this connection. To game an election at scale you need to know in advance what the margin will be and who isn’t going to vote (so you can grab the registration to connect the illegal to.) Absentee voting creates additional barriers in situations where these ballots must be requested.
When Trump announced that the only way he loses is if the election is rigged he set the table for all the bogus claims. Last year he offered that “we have to cheat better than they do,” another confession of future bogus claims.
The whole right wing trend on behalf of paper ballots is another ploy.
The other thrust is suppression and this is the vector I would expect the Trump campaign to exploit through the use of violence and disruption at polling places. imo
TFG and EVERY SINGLE ONE of his followers are clinically insane. They continue to push this debunked theory that the 2020 elecition was “stolen.” Does that justify insurrection? I don’t think so…please make this all go away. We must defeat him next November (provided he’s not dead or in jail.) This man is the most dangerous individual in the United States today; he must not be allowed anywhere near the levers of power or the White House.
