The ‘Nuclear’ Election Conspiracy Doc Trump Cited In Court Is A Sign Of Things To Come

The true believers were buzzing.

It was Jan. 2 and former President Trump had just used his “Truth Social” platform to release a 32-page “Summary of Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election in the Swing States.” The document rehashed thoroughly debunked claims, promoted blatantly false information, and repeatedly cited other reports that do not actually appear to exist to make the patently absurd assertion there is “no evidence Joe Biden won.” In other words, it was everything many hardcore Trump supporters who refuse to accept his defeat had been waiting for.

Ok, the entire point of the Nigerian Prince scam is screen out those that will not succumb to the scam. Yes, it is obvious to most everyone. But they only want a select few for the scam, those willing to believe despite contrarian evidence.

So, yeah, Donald Trump knows scams. It is his area of core competence. And the Nuclear election conspiracy serves its purpose.

“One of the things that everybody needs to realize about this report is that this is a summary. There’s a bigger report that’s going to be coming later and it’s going to be like dropping a nuclear bomb on all of these states and with all of the ways that elections are manipulated,” Cross declared. “So, that’ll be the next thing that’s coming. So, you’re kind of getting a taste of the big picture in looking at this report. There’s more to come.”

They’re telling us what they’re going to do.

A handy Cliff Notes of the DC Appeals Court’s decision:

  • “I. Background,” pages 4 - 9. Summarizes the case before the Court.
  • “II. Jurisdiction,” pages 9 - 18. Establishes the Court’s jurisdiction to hear the case at this
  • “III. Executive Immunity,” pages 18 - 50. The Court then examines Trump’s claim of executive immunity in detail. This section is subdivided into several sections:
    • “A. Separation of Powers Doctrine” — pages 20 - 30
    • “B. Functional Policy Considerations” — pages 30 -
      • “1. Categorical Immunity Defense” — pages 32 - 37
      • “2. Immunity from Indictment’s Charges” — pages 37 - 41
    • “C. The Impeachments Judgment Clause” — pages 41 - 50
  • “IV. Double Jeopardy Principles” — pages 50 - 57
    • “A. Impeachment is not ‘Criminal’” — pages 52 - 55. Establishes that because impeachment explicitly is not a criminal procedure, there can be no question of double jeopardy.
    • “B. Blockburger Test” — pages 55 - 57. Establishes that the case before the Court differs from the case brought during impeachment proceedings, and thus does not constitute double jeopardy.

The Court’s decision is expressed on page 57. Trump’s appeal is rejected and the District Court’s order is affirmed.

As usual, the RWers along with a majority of Americans would rather spin themselves dizzy going down black holes and occupying themselves with distractions than face reality or do real work.

If I was just breezing through this article I could swear this is a picture of the haze and miasma that surrounds that sick fuck and his counsel. Frankly, I’d rather see a picture of the chandelier than the assholes standing beneath it.

tRump and co. will do anything to deflect from the truth. What else is new?

Is there a saferoom somewhere, where we can stash all of the MAGAts and just let them live happily in their alternate universe? Acknowledgement of reality in the here and now would seem to be requisite for any candidate for public office.

What the hell is the Washington Post actually trying to convey with that photo?

May I suggest Apple’s new product? All these peeps just have to plunk down $3,400 and they can live in a universe where trump won 2020.

Beats me. Really bad shot that for some reason they thought was acceptable for publication. Personally from an artistic viewpoint, I think it kinda sucks.

Oy.

How about this shit?

  • Several Republican candidates for Congress have ties to the January 6 Capitol attack.
  • At least three such candidates have a shot at winning their races next week, according to polling.
  • None have been charged in the attack, but several continue to defend their presence near the Capitol that day.

I hope the opposition to these candidates can make voters aware of these facts.
