I think you’re missing the point it’s democrat == communist. When the Soviet Union fell, the war on communism shifted full time into a war on democracy. Sure some Republicans were slow on the uptake, but those folks are now RINOs. Your point on understanding the word communist is correct, but by the same token they don’t understand fascist, or they’re OK with it.

The “weak and feckless leadership” of the Democrats was the problem. The solution is to “Rally around the Trump, Musk, Kennedy, and ride this wave to the highest hegemony for all Americans! We are second to no one.”
And the two year olds accepted the new definition because “The Republicans were the responsible adults.” I think we leave ourselves open to attack when we ignore the fact that the GOP considers all deviation from their “One True Government” treason. I’d call it heresy, but that’s a little too sophisticated, to explain what we are forced to call their thinking.
From what I’ve read of this guy, the reason at least one of his former relationships with women fell apart was because he didn’t have enough control, the woman was too “independent.” In regard to the military, he was no doubt against women serving in combat, trans soldiers, the whole “woke” thing.
All of that has to be purged from government, so guys like this can feel they have time-warped back to the 1950’s when women knew their place. Trump is the godhead figure for that kind of thinking.
