Ah to be first on morning memo!
Of course, I’m cheating since it’s 11:00 am where I am today!
Any guesses?
Ah to be third… or fifth, I’m really rather bad at this.
I have to say, I really like the very early morning memo - much easier to read at 5AM rather than trying to slip it in between work things.
oh, wait, pets uh…
Somewhere in the Mediterranean? Spanish territory?
I’m wondering if later today, given the time this Morning Memo was posted, there will appear a superseding Morning Memo.
ETA:
Italy?
This is my first time here. I don’t know if reply is about the latest post or the original.
The red reply button (or blue reply button, if you are on a phone) at the bottom is for the original article. The smaller dark grey reply arrows for the individual comments.
My second guess - Croatia.
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Welcome!
Morning Memo while I drink my AM coffee?
What a Birthday present.
Was hoping for some news out of DC today, but w/ yesterday’s updates, not expecting one…
Maybe next Friday on Obama’s Bday.
Many happy returns of the day!
Read the superceding indictment if you want to understand just how much trouble Trump is in. Smith has covered every base. It is clear he has cornered Trump. His only hope is winning the general election. There is an old military term that covers Trumps chances in the general–Forlorn Hope.
The sooner the press realizes that Trump is an albatross around Republicans necks the sooner the Republicans are going begin to shake their brain dead devotion to the Donald. Until then just keep popping popcorn.
I am beginning to wonder if the drip, drip, drip of evidence isn’t going to cause a lot fo MAGA voters to question their Trump loyalty. Keeping the trials going until after the election might just be the ticket to completely wrecking the entire Republican party. Right now Smith and his team are must see TV.
I mean I was here back when Josh started this whole thing and recently, it’s trained a new generation of journalists. As we all get older, we get better.
I understand now.
Well: Welcome back, then!
As always, whenever something happens with Trump I’ll say, “Oh, look. It happened.” Other than that, I just live my life.
This reminds me of Josh’s column last week(?) in which he wrote that in the end, what’s going to decide all of this definitively is not trials or verdicts but the coming election. Like most/all of us, I’d rather see trials getting started sooner rather than later; but as you say here, having them going on during primary season–can you imagine the debate questions??: “Show of hands: Who on this stage, if Trump is found guilty of these charges, will pledge here and now to pardon him if you’re elected President, knowing what you have heard in the reporting on this/these trial(s)?”–has the potential to make the GOP primary (and the party more broadly) look like a less-bloody Game of Thrones.
Thanks
My returns include returning US currency into circulation today…
In NH, car registrations and inspections are all due in one’s birthday month. This year my license came up too.

I did take the day off at least, and the weed store does $1 Pre-Rolls, so not all my errands are boring
