Yup. He still wants us to think he has this mess under control. There was a time for that and he let it pass while preoccupied with COVID’s ramifications on his political future. . Not to be too harsh but COVID is going to run its course as it sees fit…the way it wants and when and where it wants. It will kill those it wants and render sick those it feels like sickening. That’s what happens when you manage an epidemic as a political problem. That’s what happens when you ignore a threat to 320 million people and just look out for number one. That’s where we are and there aint shit we can do about it.

As to the presser, I stopped watching these things a while ago at the point when I spent entirely too much time trying fact check what was said in these things. I can attest it is much easier to read articles from reliable sources (TPM, for example) than it is to research whatever this man has said.

Or to put another way, I do not think it matters at this point what Trump says as nobody, especially his supporters who are so full of it they needed to buy up all the toilet paper, believe a word he says.

I’m wondering if there will be a de facto caretaker government closing Trump down in the near future.
