The MAGA Merch Guide to Celebrating Dad

[Gift Guide] MAGA Merch Tells Us Who Dad Is There are few lists more confounding than a Father’s Day gift guide. This is largely by design. The not-so-subtle commentary embedded into the formula of these lists is that dads are inscrutable and that Father’s Day is a bit of a gag holiday. To scroll through…

First? Dog I’m watching. She says she can quit canned dog food whenever she wants but I have my doubts.

Planks in a platform I have been copying and pasting and adding to the last few days.

Now, I ask the TPMers before I head out for Milw today…what would be a good FARMER or Ag sweeping change the Dems could advocate for?

I would prefer anything which helps break all the subsidies that encourage unhealthy practices, breaks monopolies, strangles the corporate ‘farming’ of our government and favors for corporate farms, and stops motivating them to grow only 3 crops so it can be shipped all over the world. Grow crops we need here to EAT. Also, which disfavors importing such huge amounts from other nations and gets us growing it here. Come up with some candy to lure rural votes and give them a reason to vote Blue.

Also, the Single Payer Healthcare (below) could have another plank added which promises to re-vitalize rural heathcare and rural facilities.

Taxing Billionaires and review of all their Fed contracts

Single Payer Healthcare

Moratorium on all DataCenters

SC Reform

Overturn Citizens United

Mail in voting and fixing USPS back up

Gambling and crypto reform

Completely rebuilding CDC, NHS, and Vaccine programs

Emergency rebuild of Screwworm eradication programs

Review and prosecution of ALL Election Deniers, tamperers, fraud electors, MoC

Review of all election systems, contractors, and protocols.

Breakup DHS. Return SS to Treasury and Coast Guard to a better place. Claw back funds and detention centers.

Thanks for helping to keep me entertained as I wait to be popped into the MRI. I experienced a loss in my visual field yesterday. The issue has resolved and I am looking mostly fine - they want to look for evidence of a TIA.

Hopefully they will let me go home today. Darn it - I planned to vacuum today for our father’s day gathering tomorrow!

A few years ago, I woke up and could only see white out of my right eye. Went to the ER, and my eye pressure was 60. Was diagnosed with Posner–Schlossman glaucoma (which goes away, thankfully, with steroids). Because it is relatively rare, and Georgetown is a teaching hospital, I was coming in every week to monitor, and I was met with a parade of med students looking at my eye.

That would be pretty terrifying. I would say that it is disconcerting to look at my husband of 38 years and only see one of his eyes. I mean, I’m pretty sure he had a second eye over there somewhere…

Yes, very good. I did have:
Review of all election systems, contractors, and protocols.

I want to really separate campaigning from legislation. Once we have won office we can tackle lots of things in different ways. And not sure how Voting Rights and Gerrymandering would be messaged or how it would fall on voting ears. Promising to root out election fraud and making the systems secure might go down better.

Hang in there! MRI’s can be disurbingly noise-ful.

What about freezing all the assets of the First Felon and all his family? Yes, I know most of it is offshore, but I bet enough people overseas are aggravated enough with this bozo that they’d cooperate.

Then we could use those funds to fix all the stuff they’ve broken.

Yikes! Glad that turned out well. Had a recent reading of 20 and the earliest specialist I can get is two months away. Thanks, Obama!

What surprised me with this was the absolute non-reaction of the stock markets.

They’re so inured with the instability of the resolution of this issue that nothing shakes them anymore. The cancellation of the talks and the clear irrelevance of the MOU should have taken a few hundred or more off the DJIA. And there was nothing.
