If that is the case, would there be government paperwork associated with each invocation of the DPA? And if so, could those records be obtained by FOIA?

It would be interesting to get the details behind any such orders signed by Azar.

Good god. Instead of seizing masks, should not the Federal Government be organizing the production of them?

Artenstein also said that Baystate’s local congressman — Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA) — interceded to prevent DHS from diverting the shipment.

Believe it or not, I have one N95 mask from before the mask shortage from coronavirus began. I used it when I cleaned the cat litter box so I wouldn’t breathe in dust. After I scratched my eye and deposited ‘debris’ in my eye while adjusting the mask, I stopped using it. Today when I went to the pharmacy to pick up my meds, the drive-by line was so long, I boldly went into the store. I had the mask with me along with disposable gloves. Hardly anyone was in the store, so I felt fairly safe.
