I wonder where these stories were in 2015-6, when the Republicans put up almost all white men with a tiny slice of non-white, non-men, none of whom had any real chance at winning. This is such a double standard…the Democrats started with a very diverse field, and the campaign has spoken as voters and donors have whittled it down to the ones on the stage. Why the voters did this is related to who they think has good policies and can win, and they just aren’t sticking with the other candidates for various reasons. That doesn’t suddenly mean that Democrats have rejected minorities, it’s just these candidates they aren’t happy with.
In the end, if a Democrat wins they will have a far ore inclusive and diverse Cabinet and administration than Trump or any Republican ever has, all of them take that seriously. This is just a silly discussion, the Democrats aren’t giving up on diversity…really, this is the media making up another controversy, one that will benefit the Republicans despite it being BS.

Is it the media or TPM, who as others have noted today seem to be suffering hangovers from the news of the rest of the week.
For me, I’ve said from the first Dem candidate announcement that it was too early, that the campaign to get to Iowa was going to be too expensive and was going to winnow out some very good candidates very early. We’re there now. There are still too many candidates, but this is not far off from where we should be at the end of this calendar year. I’m not real thrilled with this selection, but we go to war with the Army we have, not the Army we want.

Garbage headline. It implies that voting against Sarah Palin in 2008 makes one a misogynist, or voting against Ben Carson in 2016 makes one a racist. At the end of the day their policies mattered more than their skin color or their naughty bits. Identity politics is expressly designed to divide the working class for the benefit of the elites in both parties…

The headline is an expression of anger that there are any white men still on the stage at all, because that is the desired evidence that power has been gained by the “deserving” and wielded over white men such that they have been put in their place, i.e., that power has been lost by the “undeserving.”
It’s the same thing as the idiotic 50 new gender pronouns crap: just another misguided, unrealistic demand for evidence that power has been gained, shifted, lost by the people who are supposed to lose it and that oppression has been avenged with oppression. Sorry, but if anyone want me to call them “zim”, their tantrums will achieve nothing but my amusement.
