Judges Sidestep Halligan Confrontation On the surface it looks like the federal judges in the Eastern District of Virginia tackled the Lindsey Halligan problem head on. But if you look a little closer, the judges went out of their way to avoid a direct confrontation with the White House. Yesterday, U.S. District Judge David J.…
I realize it’s CBS, but doesn’t appear Bari Weiss got her fingers in this one.
Martinez’s lawyer, Chris Parente, showed 60 Minutes a new video that he said contradicts DHS’s claim that Martinez had “boxed in” the agents with her car.
Parente showed Vega surveillance video he obtained from a business near the scene of the shooting. The video shows the agent’s vehicle coming to a stop with no vehicles in front of it or on the left side of the vehicle.
“There was nobody in front of this agent. If he simply wanted to move forward on the street in the direction he was going, he could’ve continued on,” Parente told Vega.
The video then shows Martinez passing on the vehicle’s left side moments after the Border Patrol agent Charles Exum opened fire.
I wonder what Kreepi Gnome has to say about this?

Yup, he’s been taken behind the woodshed for a bit.
Been told in no uncertain terms that he has to stop with the military threats.
But…but…but…she means politically segregated schools!
The term “segregated schools” typically refers to racial segregation. Noble claimed in her statement that she was referring to political segregation.
“If Democrats had their own schools, and we had our own, families wouldn’t need to avail themselves of the wildly successful education freedom account program,” Noble said Wednesday. “It’s a win / win proposition.”
Nevertheless, in the course of his speech, he continues to allude to using force both obliquely and directly. At best, he’s being seen as deliberately ambiguous.
“… we will not use excessive force”
“Maybe your parents for their retirement bought 10 or 12 homes.”
Half the country would be literate.
So the state of the whole world right now feels like the consternation on your grade-school playground when there was a big, though stupid, bully who wouldn’t stop menacing people. We’re as confused about how to handle it now as we were then.
Children should have rights and those rights should be protected. Among them are the right to an education, to healthcare, and to safety… to be safe from harm. They are not their parents’ possessions, to be used or abused at will. Throw in freedom of religion.
ETA: Children should have a right to self determination, consistent with their capacity.
It seems we’ve blundered into the unknown region. No map there, nor guide.
Re: Gov. Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her, and Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty.
Perhaps they should take the Clinton family route and decline to appear. Make a step towards de-legitimizing this corrupt Justice Department and the maladministration that created it.
Apparently, air travel messes with TFG’s legs more and more.’
Scroll down the article for the video, don’t follow the links. It’s the same was we’ve seen before, just drifts to the side at a greater angle this time.
He needs to have those lane bumpers installed, like the ones they use for kiddie bowling.
It’s especially painful when you look at the graph of fired scientists and know that at least 25 of those data points are your friends and colleagues, some of whom you have worked with for 30 years.
