Good thing Puppy turned a bit, otherwise TheGhost should be forced to put black bands on the pix of Puppy’s naughty bits. Got to think of the children!
what’s with tpm not recognizing my I pad forcing me to sing in on my wife’s desk top then not recognizing my account again.
WTF. this happened a couple weeks ago and here go again. I’ve been a prime member for about ten years.
When I first moved to the DMV, I was fortunate to find an apartment I could (barely) afford walking distance to my office. There was also a supermarket (and a liquor store) across the street. My Oklahoma friends absolutely could not contemplate life without a car.
As a Marine Vietnam vet, one of the advantages we had when we got home was that so many of our friends had served. We were able to talk about our tours and our experiences. My best friend was a 101st Airborne vet, another was a Navy corpsman that flew with medivac choppers, another was a Marine that was in the battle for Hue during Tet, another was a conscientious objector that served as an Army medic (he later became an Episcopal Bishop) We had each other. While no doubt some had real problems after their tours, we mostly were able to get on with our lives.
I wish my dad had your advantages in talking out experiences in combat. My dad flew a Grumman Avenger plane in WW2 against the Japanese. Early missions in late 1942-early 1943 off Henderson field on Guadalcanal. Then off the escort carrier Anzio for the 110 missions I have record of. He bottled it all up and had to be slobbering drunk to speak of his wartime experience even in small amounts. He had PTSD as well.
I hope you are including gun safety along with shooting lessons. Your frustration is understandable. But your manner of articulating it in your posts makes you sound little different from Steve Bannon. I don’t want to live in the country either of you proposes.
The wingnut caucus are clutching their pearls because Liz Cheney received the Citizens award.
“Kentucky GOP Rep. James Comer, was swift to agree. “It’s a slap in the face to all the good Americans who actually deserve to be recognized for their public service or for their sacrifice or for their community activism,” he said.
Comer added: “You think about all the first responders that risk their lives every day, all the military frontline soldiers who risk their lives every day, all the people that run charitable organizations and do good things at church. And none of them got recognized by Joe Biden, but he recognized Liz Cheney and Bennie Thompson.”
As a reminder during previous January 6th commemoration ceremonies, including the one two years ago where Biden awarded the gold medals to the Capitol police officers Comer along with his so-called freedom caucus reprobates were no shows.
