Originally published at: The Epstein Files Keep Trickling Out. Here Are 5 Points on What’s Happening
In the five days since the Justice Department began releasing the Epstein files (in a piecemeal fashion that seemingly flouted a law President Trump signed last month), the usually quiet pre-holiday stretch has seen members of Congress issuing threats of prosecution, DOJ attempts to protect President Trump and a few newsworthy revelations. A few document…
This should give Republicans the holiday season to not read or be familiar with the documents when they are asked about them.
Additional points:
-
The 8th trove of documents was released but not linked to, leading to its discovery yesterday by news organizations who changed the seven in the URL to eight.
-
Several of the redactions where done AFTER OCR so they can be revealed by highlighting the redacted area and copying the content.
-
The names of co-conspirators are blacked out in direct violation of the letter and the spirit and clear intent of the law.
If you take the points mentioned in the article, and the points I have mentioned above, we have a picture of a combination of either gross incompetence and willful breaking of the law, or quite possibly you have a situation where many of the actors who have been charged by their superiors with breaking the law are being willfully incompetent.
Trump’s razor suggest that we should assume that almost everybody is incompetent here, but I like to think the best of people. I like to think that there are some people who are being purposefully incompetent.
Donald Trump has maintained in social media posts and public statements that he was “never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid’ Island.”
“We do not know whom, what or why. But we do know this: We need no such protection . Accordingly, we call on President Trump to direct Attorney General Bondi to immediately release any remaining materials referring to, mentioning, or containing a photograph of Bill Clinton.”
Strong move by old Bill. That’s what a statement looks like from someone who is confident of his position.
And that’s what a statement looks like from someone who is guilty AF, and is just lying about everything, no matter how trivial to refute.
-“Jeffrey Epstein was never as classy as I am. I’m on a higher plane.”-
The administration’s continued use of a strategy that is guaranteed to indefinitely prolong the Epstein news cycle can only mean that the alternative of releasing everything all at once is much, much worse.
“Our president also shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to ‘grab snatch,’…
Jeebus, I never thought I would live in a world where such a statement would be made.
If that letter is real, it’s pretty good evidence that Epstein committed suicide. If that letter is fake, the most obvious conclusion is quite the opposite.
The only thing it reveals is things that were already on the public record, because Trump said them, and still got elected in 2016. It very well could be something that Epstein would have written, even if Epstein was just making it up, because of what he heard Trump say on the tour bus. However, we don’t have to take Epstein’s word for this. We have several women who have described Trump behaving in exactly this manner in front of Epstein. In other words, this is not a smoking gun letter. It puts suicidal thoughts in Epstein’s head. It is the kind of thing that you would think the Department of Justice would have shared to combat rumors that Epstein was murdered.
However, if the letter is fake, the timing of the letter indicates whoever wrote it intended it to be seen as real, and the motivation for this would be to cover up a murder.
So, if it’s real, why isn’t the Trump administration shouting its contents from the rooftops? If it’s fake, on the other hand, why are they involved in covering up a murder?
FBI agent: “I properly redact 90% of the mentions of Trump. The other 10% I let through as a tithe to God. I am trying to get to heaven, after all.”
You are thinking way too hard. Do you really think they would create a letter that obscure, then send it to the wrong jail, then have it returned to sender, timing it precisely? These coverup people could not think that well, let alone think.
And convicted felon wants nothing better than to bury all Epstein deep in the sand - not shout the contents from the roof - because there’s more attached to it all - CF
And nothing done about it.
Items disappearing randomly will give them plenty of cover, ad infinitum. “I’m afraid I haven’t been able to review the document in question. Every time my staff checked, it wasn’t available. I would be happy to discuss it once I’ve been able to read it…”
So did Trump visit Epstein’s Zorro ranch?
