Vladimir Putin has said Moscow is “ready for talks” to end the “tragedy” of war in Ukraine but blamed a Kyiv law prohibiting talks.
The Russian president launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February last year that has devastated the country and led to hundreds of thousands of casualties, both military and civilian, as well as Russian troops suspected of massacres in places such as Bucha.
Putin used his speech at the G20 meeting to say it was necessary to think about how to stop the tragedy of the conflict in Ukraine, Reuters reports, and said Russia had never refused to participate in peace talks with Ukraine

Of course, the election is rigged on behalf of the former president. What electorate in the right mind would put this person back in office after what he has already done in detriment to the country. Certainly it is forces like Republican PACs subsequent to citizens united SCOTUS decision, and oligarchs like Leonard Leo, Eulein and others who think that it’s not enough just to be a billionaire. instead, they have to fundamentally change our country to serve their own self interest and not for the best.

Remember when Gary Hart was running in 1988? He got popped for being in an affair with a lady not his wife. He quit the race and resigned his seat. I say that to show how politics has changed. Now the GOP front runner has 3 civil suits (one sexual in nature), been arrested 4 times and is currently out on bail due to 4 criminal indictments totaling 91 felony charges.
Whew!

There is the case of socialist Eugene Debs running for president while he was in jail in 1920. He got close to a million votes. I believe it was his 5th run but i could be wrong.

They want Trump tried, convicted and imprisoned for trying to kill our democracy.

Other than Fani Willis’ Georgia case, don’t think that bail was ever really considered for Donnie Above-the-Law in the Fed cases or considered and rejected.
