Pharma companies are in the process of losing their minds over this right now.

The letter @ajswift89 linked to above is measured, but you don’t have to read much between the lines at all to understand how unhappy the top leaders in Pharma are about this. It stops well short of direct threats to halt drug development in this country but it does point at that consequence.
