The Dem Dems Love To Dunk On: Calls Grow For Lieberman To GTFO Of GA Senate Race

More like the first successful human clone. Unless there is a “total asshole” gene somewhere in the genome.

A Connecticut Yankee in Martin Luther King’s Court

Born: Connecticut 1977

Education:Bachelor’s - Yale University … Law - Yale Law School

Prior Political Office: - - None - -

Prior Political Campaigns: - - None - -

Work experience: briefly practiced law, but, after two years of working at the Connecticut firm Wiggin & Dana, Lieberman returned to education and became a high school English teacher at his alma mater, the Hopkins School (Hopkins School is an elite private, college-preparatory, coeducational, day school located in New Haven, Connecticut)

in 2005 Lieberman moved to Georgia and became the head of Greenfield Hebrew Academy, a 450 student K-8 Jewish school. He managed a staff of over 100 and a budget of $7 mi"

Lieberman, a 53-year-old “entrepreneur”, makes no bones about the name recognition he hopes to tap:
His father, former Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman.

Not real impressive (maybe a tiny bit shallow ?) … absolutely ZERO prior political experience - other than watching Dad …
and the first thing he tries to tackle - United States Senator ? seriously? nothing local - no state legislature … not even try for the House of Representatives?

The just does not appear to be real substance here - may be intelligent - but leadership? who knows …how could anyone know …
His belligerence begins to look like he really does want to be the spoiler.

So if he was born in 77, that gets him out of law school in 2000 or 2001, out of the law firm in '02 or '03, which means he couldn’t hack 3 or 4 years teaching high school english at wannabe prep school.

Getting appointed head of a private religious school around age 30 after a spotty employment record means he was almost certainly brought in to use his father’s contacts for attracting out-of-state donors, and has probably done pretty well with that. (A budget of $7 M for 450 students means parents plus donors are coughing up about $15K per student, which is definitely fancy private school territory.)

He makes Loeffler look like a qualified candidate.

The adventures of an old man and his imaginary slave. Set in today’s Atlanta, Benno Johnson – ninety years old, White, born and bred in the Jim Crow South – tells the story of his almost lifelong relationship with Lucius Cincinnatus Jones, his slave. Benno’s parents give him Lucius as a gift when he’s about ten. An only child, he becomes inseparable from Lucius – through childhood capers, college, and adult life. Now in an old age home, Benno relates their story to Mordecai “Tree” Weissman, a successful fifty year old northern transplant who volunteers at the home. Benno’s tale focuses on a particular three day stretch that starts when Benno and Lucius set out on a short canoe paddle from Benno’s riverside home in Atlanta. The trip runs amok and leads to three days during which Benno (and Tree) discover a lot about what it means to be Black, White; free, slave; and innocent, guilty or complicit in today’s America. And also something about friendship, loneliness, growing up and aging.

… yeah so a guy who…

  • graduated Yale Law school … but after two years in practice decides Law just ain’t for him …

  • in 2005 Lieberman moved to Georgia and became the head of Greenfield Hebrew Academy… HOWEVER … Matt Lieberman resigned in mid-2007 after two years in the job

  • in 2018 utilizes “Vanity Publishing” to self publish a dud of a novel with uncomfortable racist overtones

  • in 2019-2020 leaps into the United States Senate race with absolutely no experience whatsoever

I want to know what this “child of privilege” has genuinely accomplished - I want to know what he would cite as his milestone career achievements - things that demonstrated perseverance and commitment.

yeah but there are other candidates too including another Dem polling at ~5%. Warnock has the money to build name recognition and African Americans should pull him into the top two.

Lieberman tweeted the other day that it was a traditional primary with the top candidate from each party getting in. He’s an idiot and that should drive down his numbers.

With Democrats like the Liebermans we don’t need the Trumps or Republicans.

That’s extremely unlikely, to put it mildly. His best poll puts him at 26%, the worst recent one still has him running third with Loeffler and Collins pulling close to 50% combined. Besides Lieberman continuing to get 5-10%, there are a bunch of other Dems who will likely continue to get around 1% each even if Warnock mostly consolidates the Dem vote.

Can’t he simply create a third-party named “Lieberman for Georgia”?

I think he will be like Holy Joe, a nominal Democrat whom the Republicans can trot out to show that Democratic candidates are too liberal. I assume that he will be thrown state contracts or some position which advances his career for his work for the Republican party. Holy Joe was awful, a mouthpiece for
insurance companies, and certainly a supporter of the worst kind of Likudnik racists, but I would not have expected the remark about race from Lieberman senior. I started out giving the young Lieberman the benefit of the doubt, but he is worse than his old man.

Like father, like son, eh? It’s all about ego…

So his name goes into the Hall of Infamy along with Nader and Stein? And his father.

Given how the Lieberman name is reviled in Democratic circles because of his dad, if this clown were smart he would loudly step down and he’d be rewarded for it the next time he ran for anything. But I guess the stupid and the ego is hereditary.

He learned from the best

The road apple doesn’t fall far from the horse’s ass. Like father, like son, and you can bet he’s actually a stalking horse for Republicans to get Warnock out of the final and leave it between two Republicans. The Liebermans are scum. Both of them. Surprise suprise.

He won’t be excommunicated from the party.

It would have to be “Georgia for Lieberman”. (truth in advertising)

See Trump, Donald J.

Unqualified, egotistical, over-privileged idiots living off their father’s names seem to think they are what the country wants. We need to prove otherwise.
