Its Time to Flood the Zone With Shit Again Trump announced Monday evening that he’s hauling out an old trick — the prime-time address — on Thursday at 9 p.m. What will the topic be? “Just gonna be a speech like a lot of my speeches,” he told Hugh Hewitt on Monday. Indeed.  MS Now…

A new study finds that sometimes cats groom each other specifically to be annoying.

Axios
was more hedged, saying the president would offer thoughts on “a potpourri” of topics…
(Evil Uncle’s TeeVee Ramble Fest)

…and “findings from his intelligence officials about the administration’s review of the 2020 election.”
(Wow, he found a pro-fascist there!)

… acting director of national intelligence, his FBI director, his CIA director. Each has enormous resources that they’ve already turned toward the task of discrediting 2020. Nothing should surprise us when it comes to their plans for November 2026.
(Is it still not the president’s fault if he does this again?)

Trump on Monday ordered Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments be dramatically reduced to 10 percent of their current size, the New York Times reports. (Wow, and we wouldn’t even need any resources from those areas if we had decent leadership internationally.)

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) will be the new chairman of the US senate judiciary committee, replacing the dead Lindsay Graham.

So if we are at war, officially, Congress must approve it within 60 days?

If the Trump administration wants to make the midterms about rehashing tired election conspiracies, go for it. That’s not going to win a lot of votes.

PARIS – Ukrainian fighter pilots and troops took pride of place in France’s national Bastille Day celebrations Tuesday as a massive parade showcased support for Ukraine and symbolically flexed European military muscle.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was given an ovation from the assembled European leaders as he arrived and his country’s troops got the biggest cheers of the day from crowds on the tree-lined Champs-Elysees avenue. Zelenskyy and Macron shared repeated hugs at the end of the parade.

Ok, so he’s just admitted that the speech will be BS.

A good reason not to pay any attention to it. Which I wouldn’t have, anyway.

My guess: Wiles tried to quash Miller’s fascist murder spree fantasies until after the midterms, but the storm troopers’ lust for the blood of black and brown people cannot be contained. They might think they can get away with it this time as long as they confine the violence to non-white victims, but the inherent misogyny of ICE/CBP/etc. means that inevitably there will be more Renée Goods.

It is supposed to be the bully pulpit, not the bullshit pulpit.

The thought of Trump gargling on about his “victory” in 2020 is more than most sane people can bare. JHFC

His last address to the nation was impeccably timed to coincide with the live finale for Survivor. I wonder if he had to be talked out of doing it tonight and expecting them to stop baseball’s All Star Game for his address.

What color? Record it and put it on youtube as counter programming.

The All-Star game is tonight; the speech is scheduled for Thursday.

Yes, that’s what I was referring to - I wondered if he originally wanted it tonight and they talked him into Thursday.

Wasn’t John Ratcliffe the Director of the NSA in 2020? Wouldn’t he have known about foreign interference in the election -changed votes- at that time? I don’t recall him saying anything about it. He is the current director of the CIA.

Yes, officially

The Trump War is here. He lied to everyone.
