Yeh, not believing it. As Maggie Haberman (love or hate her, she has an in into Trump World) noted two days ago, a lot of what you are hearing is wish casting by Republicans. With two senate seats up in GA, the last thing they want is this to all be about Trump, Trump’s greavence, Rudy “hand in pants” Guilliani, and him firing people.
But hey, I am all for it. The crazier the better. Plus I don’t want Biden going anywhere near Trump or Trump’s house of infection.
Best that some ryder truck pulls up on January 19, 2021, and the secret service flies him down to Mar-a-lago before his term ends, and Biden has no interaction with him.
It is easier that way. The world moves on.
I totally get this strategy. It saves face for him a bit. But most importantly, it perpetuates a platform on which he can perpetuate his grift. His dupes will fund him until his bitter end. Feeding their illusions will help fund his luxury life of indebtedness. And will feed his fragile ego to boot. I wonder when the cash stream ends and he faces the music? Maybe never.
So begins another chapter of absurdity. Sigh. The shit we’re putting up with because we won’t allow ourselves the simple solution of a guillotine.

Trump and Co are going to be in liquidation shortly. Yes, he can grift a little bit, but if he takes anything substantial, some democratic AG will sue him for Fraud, see Steve Bannon. And, there is no way that the grift his poor 90 IQ supporters can contribute substantial funds to overcome his $460+ Million in high intesest debt which is coming, or fund his business losses.
Trump’s campaign was funded at the end by some big contributions, people banking on being able to be paid back by Trump in a second term. Those folks are not going to fund Trump. And his business prospects will now fade as groups/foreign governments will no longer pay high rates for access to Trump, and the huge number of government rooms he has had booked at his hotels will dry up. That and the reputational damage will kill his business within 6 months of his leaving office. And DB can’t take the reputational hit not to foreclose on his debt. Headlines in the German press about DB “bailing out trump and sticking the german taxpayers with the bill” would destroy them.
