At an airport earlier today I passed by an MSNBC screen where the “host” of the show was asking her “guests” how it could be that Trump’s speech was so full of errors. I had to sit down laughing.
Trump has canceled his rallies. That means he’ll not be getting his weekly blow-job from thousands of supporters. If he’s this fucked up WITH the rallies, how will he (we) ever survive WITHOUT them?
First, my regrets to those who actually had to watch/listen to the speech to note all the errors.
And one more note: My wife observed that by exempting the UK and Ireland from the travel ban, Trump protected the two countries over there where he has golf courses.
Perhaps we should be working with, not ostracizing, our friends in Europe? They have some pretty good stuff over there. Like advanced medical and biochemical capabilities, world class hospitals and docs. Maybe they could help. Just how is pissing off the world going to help a worldwide problem?
Daniela Kartpin, of Minneapolis, said that the reality-show host’s handling of the pandemic had left her shaken. “I always thought that if the country ever faced an existential threat, the best person to grapple with it would be someone who had abused celebrities for our entertainment,” she said. “This whole thing is starting to make me wonder.”
If you weren’t worried before, the latest speech should clear up any ambiguities. We’re being led by someone who doesn’t even understand the fix he supposedly created for an emergency he doesn’t understand.
Just a comment on what a small almost non-existent concession health insurance companies actually made, no co-pay for Coronavirus testing. The fact is because of Trump’s total mishandling there is currently almost no test kits available or other means to test anyone for Coronavirus. It is like promising to pay for any ticket on a commercial airliner flying to Mars.
The fact is 99% of Trump’s speech that was not patting himself on the back for his great efforts at getting Americans sick, was aimed at the top 1%. The rest, including his promise about insurance paying for anything of value was a lie.
