The Hawks/Hawkeyes conflation is yet still stupider than even that. Hawks start time was 7:30. The Maryland tipoff was at 8:00.

My best guess is that the whole thing was the text messages getting fed into Grok and then prompted with something like “What is the evidence that Jack Smith did the collusion with Fanni Willis to frame trump?”

Grok is clearly smarter than Schmitt, and the question is ridiculous because Smith and Willis have never even met. Smith has said so under oath.

Schmitt was under orders to smear Smith, and he tried to follow orders, albeit in a remarkably ham-handed and deeply stupid way.

“If you’re evil you are at least competent. If you’re evil, you’re not bad. You’re actually maybe kind of good. You’re at least getting something done.” – Palantir cofounder Peter Thiel

Clip’s a little over 3 minutes but worth watching the whole thing.

My guess that whole farce of a hearing was “accuse him of SOMETHING – we’ll find evidence later.” Which is not how things work. There are also reports that this was spoon-fed to the committee by the White House, and the WH told them there was no need to vet it.
