The ‘Biden Aliases’: How The GOP’s Scandalmongering Inspired An Armed Protest

I would say the Jan. 6 convictions are consequences for a significant chunk of them. So long as most of the ringleaders from the groups like the Proud Boys and the Oathkeepers are removed from their positions of influence, it seems like a lot of this cohort are likely to go back to nursing their resentments in private.

I wouldn’t doubt a few solo acts might try something, but they picked a leader with no actual ability to lead because he can only react to his own desires. I foresee that the whole thing is destined to fizzle once there’s no one at the head of the “movement.” As soon as that poor player has strut and fret his hour upon the stage, we’ll see just how much all the sound and fury signified.

Finally! A pic of Biden to displace the orange menace in the top slot.

“The individual expressing his constitutional rights had no impact on any of the Secret Service’s protectees’ movements,” the Secret Service said.

I’m disappointed to learn that the Secret Service subscribes to the NRA’s imaginary 2A rights. But then, the Secret Service disappoints on the regular these last ten or so years.

Yes, but they didn’t use aliases. They committed all their crimes in the open. That’s the difference. What is Biden afraid of?

Nobody in particular. Just hoping for an opportunity.

I think the problem is the absurd Scalia Heller Supreme Court precedent. So long as that continues to be the “law of the land,” the Secret Service is going to adhere to it. They aren’t going to be the ones to put forth a new test case and get sued. If that were overturned, maybe they would react differently. Maybe not, but I think it’s definitely impinging on them now.

Sure. Understandable. And sure, it’s Heller. But the Secret Service can operate in accordance with Scalia’s bullshit without verbally validating and buttressing Scalia’s bullshit.

Delaware is an open carry state. The general idea is to suggest his, uh, manly hood. Their motto being, ‘I own gun, therefore I am’.

SS: “Nah…no biggy. In this country, it’s perfectly legal to be an angry disinformed delusional sign-carrying boob with a gun because you’re considered a responsible gun owner until the split-second you shoot someone.”

If Biden doesn’t live till 2024 (or 2028), it won’t be because he is ‘too old’. This ‘protestor’ is just foreshadowing even worse actions being planned.

I hope the USSS and federal law enforcement is prepared this time.

For a variation on this theme, check out Meatball Ron today complaining about the Senate changing dress code rules for John Fetterman (apparently) as the latest sign of the decadence in Washington. It’s like Tan Suit Part Deux. No need to worry about the actual decadence of TFG’s family… Nothing to see here, sez Bootlicker Ron.

Think of the fucking fit the repuke assholes would throw if this was some protestor just carrying a sign outside of Boof Kavanaugh’s house.

While I would prefer Senator Fetterman to upgrade his wardrobe a bit (I’m cool with no ties, but please, no tee shirts), I’m thankful he hasn’t succumbed to wearing a seersucker suit.

It’s always satisfying to point out GOP hypocrisy and media double-standards, but they are accepted as concrete rules at this point. The GOP get to be hypocrites and the media get to treat that as acceptable whilst making mountainous Dem scandals out of fleeting molehills.

Agree in principle, but it also looks like the Secret Service have a keen eye on him, that he was maybe trying to get arrested while obeying the law to make some rightwing point about dems being the authoritarians, and that (if so) Biden’s protectors were nuanced enough to not play along with that

At least he’s wearing his yellow safety vest to either warn the public of his mental instability or not get run over by a vehicle.

What pisses me off about this scandalmongering is the mainstream media down to and including MSNBC endlessly repeat this bullshit about Biden on a loop. Fox says its all true, TPM and the liberals say its all lies. The rest of the press say nothing has yet been proven. But they all repeat the same lies over and over again. I know why, there is a lot of money to be made by all sides, but in the process we might accidently elect Trump again. Anyway I am sick of the lack of honesty on the part of all involved. Mostly I am sick of the lack of honesty on the part of the mainstream press that keeps that fine neutral stance about nothing has been proven.
