National Ds seem to have handled the last few elections very badly with no strong leadership and messaging. Short-armed Impeachment I Big Time. Never made a deal about Senators who let Chump off on two Impeachments. Did not go after sitting Rs for their involvement and/or complicity in J6, J6C was completely apolitical and only focused on Chump and unelected cronies. This last election had 2 or 3 huge motivators which could have seen us GAIN in Senate and House which Nat. Ds appeared to whiff on spectacularly.
People on this site hate hearing Ds being criticized. I basically have no problem with Ds overall or individually. Mostly fine, fine people doing great work. But as an Org, from the top - strategy, messaging, seizing momentum, kill shots continually escape them.

When Republicans get power they employ it ruthlessly and dare anyone to complain. Think about it: Mitch McConnell literally stole 2 seats on the SC and what happened to him or the GOP? Indirectly, that action did save the Dems in the midterms, but the Republicans unjustly gained the right to set the tone for major policies for decades. If you put this in a positive light, I suppose you could say that Dems want to work together and Republicans want to destroy their enemies.

The GOP leader wants to pass the omnibus package funding the federal government before the end of December, according to Senate Republican and Democratic sources. But he’s coming under increasing pressure from conservatives who want to freeze federal spending until January, when Republicans will take control of the House.
Scott told The Hill he plans to “actively” press for a stopgap funding measure freezing federal spending levels until next year, something he and Republican Sens. Mike Lee (Utah) and Ted Cruz (Texas) called for in September in a Fox News op-ed.
