Presidential pardons can’t be overturned in any normal reality, but who knows in this one, with this SCOTUS.
Anyway, it’s not just an Epstein distraction. Trump is hot to sic his weaponized DOJ on the members of the House J6 committee, who are all on his enemies list. Biden gave them preemptive, blanket pardons before leaving office. It won’t work, or at least it shouldn’t.

The criminal case, third country removal, and prolonged detention are all just tools the Trump administration is using to savage Abrego Garcia. The savagery is the point.

While the president can pardon federal criminal charges some/many of his minions may be open to state charges. There is also he possibility that international law, as in murder of fishermen/drug runners, may be open to prosecution. Some of the minions may find themselves in a bad place if the vacation in Spain.

Latest US strikes on alleged drug-running boats kill 14 in off Colombia | AP News
WASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Tuesday that the U.S. military has carried out three strikes in the eastern Pacific Ocean against boats accused of carrying drugs, killing 14 people and leaving one survivor.
This was the first time multiple strikes were announced in a single day. Carried out Monday, the strikes mark a continued escalation in the pace of the attacks in South American waters, which began in early September and had been spaced weeks apart.
A statement provided by a Pentagon official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to freely discuss the operation, said the strikes were conducted off the coast of Colombia. Following one attack on a boat, the military spotted a person in the water clinging to some wreckage.

And think of the fortune he’s cost the government - guard salaries, airfare down there, the cost of the bribes (errr, incarceration fees) to the El Salvadorean government, the horrendous cost of bringing him back!
And the cost of all those lawyers for all those specious (errr, I mean “focused”) lawsuits and charges??
I mean really, how can they let the guy waste government funds like that, especially when the government is all shut down because of the DemonRats boycott!?!?

MAGA folks will even admit that their heads would explode if a Democrat did the stuff that PORUS is doing, there’s no room to pretend about “the rule of law.” This is most definitely a government of men and not law. I was always suspicious of the preemptive pardons, at some point you knew a President was going to use it to shelter his administration from prosecution for actually illegal activities. Conversely how do you protect people from actual vindictive prosecution.
