The 87,000 Armed IRS Agents Conspiracy Theory Is Just The Latest Republican Assault On An Agency In Crisis

If there was a defined Republican talking point during the debate preceding the House passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, it was this: that the bill would mean the hiring of 87,000 new, armed IRS agents kicking down the doors of middle class America and killing the people they find inside.

bloodthirsty tax enforcement agents

If no one pays taxes, our economy collapses, along with much of our national defense.

Republicans are bad for business.

What number am I?

“how you gonna pay for that”…

With money and that money is collected by the IRS. 20,000 IRS agents in exam rooms…coming soon thanks to Obama Care. Remember that?

It is not possible to take out the IRS and have an America. Assholes like Reagan and Dole made careers out ramping up the rubes with IRS knock down talk but NEVER did it. It appeals to “patriots” that want America for free.

The debt!!! We’ve all heard that one. How are we going to pay down a 30 trillion dollar obligation? With money. There’s no other way. That money can only come from taxes. A tax cut’s like dad quitting his night job when the family has 6 maxed out credit cares in the kitchen table. Gutting the IRS is like firing all the cashiers in a grocery store.

If a pol is talking about the IRS he or she is lying.

I think we can save time by naming the Agencies Banana Republicans don’t want to destroy. And then, if the winds shift, they will also want to destroy those.
Aw hell, we know they want to burn it ALL down.

Who I vents these ridiculous and alarming quotes? A week or two ago, it was claims that law enforcement had become the gestapo.

I thought the anti-tax movements rooted in free market economics were stupid, but Milton Friedman was more of an abstractly theoretical economist whose models didn’t simulate the real world or take into account social goods.

Now the anti-tax movement boils down to: “the IRS wants to EAT your BABY!” Which I have to admit, is even stupider.

This is where the MSM needs to step up.
Everyone of them, MSM, must demand public interviews of the accusers showing proof of this bullshit.
The Dems must also demand proof.

Someone needs to make a detailed list of all the failed predictions the right has come up with over the years.

Maybe a book.

Banana Republican overlords know those agents aren’t being hired to go after Joe Paycheck who has everything he does right there in his W-2’s. And the funding for those agents is being based on what they are going to take from the rich. Watch them squirm, and anyone who speaks out about it should go on a list for the new agents to look into. These fuggs are basically making public statements that they have much to hide.

I saw a map awhile back of where audits happen and it’s mostly areas of the deep south where people have nothing. The rich don’t want that to happen to them.

One thing I haven’t heard much about is how many of these agents will replace those who retire.

Because, of course, the only party that gives a shit about gun violence is going to arm auditers with AK-47s

The IRS needs 87,000 cross trained customer service professionals, armed with knowledge of the damn tax code and power to handle issues timely. So a person doesn’t have to waste 6 hours of their day off, having five different goes at the telephone AI before stumbling across the proper keywords one must speak to prequalify for a 2 hour hold for the right person to finally understand and help.

If you can’t cut taxes, cut the funding of the agency that collects taxes. The rich get richer, the non-rich pick up the burden.

Sen Sinema’s antics made it possible for the weallthy to hoard more money. It’s tough to campaign against fat cat Wall Street types, when your own side is part of the paoblem.

Memories of my brother in law boasting how he was going to cut his taxes…then the IRS enforcement agents came a calling…and my sister went on TV crying her eyes out about the gestapo IRS…and yet at that time ol Frothy Santorum decided to enter the picture and play it for all it’s worth…nevermind that my idiot brother in law boasted that he was gonna get away with stiffing the IRS.

That’s why when Bob Casey ran in 2006 against Frothy I borrowed on my Master Card to contribute to him. And the pleasure of Election Night 2006 when Bob crushed Frothy and seeing The Addams Family going down to defeat.

For the GOP, the truth and facts should never get in the way of a good lie. But why doesn’t our so called “liberal” media do a better job of informing the public, you know their job?
