So Trump tells Sondland “I never asked for a quid pro quo” so that Sondland is not lying when he reports that conversation. Similarly, Trump tells Barr that he did nothing to obstruct justice, so Barr is not lying when he reports that conversation. Similarly, Trump tells Michael Cohen that he has no business deals with Moscow, and Cohen tells anyone interested that Trump said that he has no business deals with Moscow.

IMO part of why they released it, is because optics of letting it expire would have been too damaging to them.

Yeah well the GOP has worked hard to make that the case in Texas. We were personally gerrymandered by Tom DeLay.
It’s a miracle that we turned Dallas Co. blue in '06 and have kept it blue ever since. But it’s hard to turn out voters when the state is so gerrymandered our votes hardly have mattered. It was depressing to be a Democrat in Texas during W’s first term. W fixed that for us by being such a lousy president that we turned the county in the midterm of '06. It’s not depressing so much anymore.
Beto turned out an incredible record number of voters and registered a record number of new voters.

First, he lost by 2.8 million counted votes. Second, maybe you’ll get some of the Talibaptists who they fool with the pseudo-Jesus artwork of the pussy grabbers, but you won’t get the people who are only there for the racism. Third, the vote-hackers might decide it’s not worth it if they don’t get trump.

Quid pro Quo and bribery are not crimes in the original latin. There is nothing about quid pro quo, bribery, extortion and thuggery in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights or any of the Amendments.
In one way, yes.

Trump insisted “that [Ukraine] President Zelensky go to a microphone and say he is opening investigations of Biden and 2016 election interference,” according to an account of a Trump conversation that was delivered to Taylor and described in his opening remarks.
